This store is managed by the most rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional people out of all Salvation Army stores in the Syracuse area. I went there and tried to use a 10$ coupon on a 45+ $ purchase, and my purchase was 46$ which is the right amount to qualify for this promotion. The store manager refused to honor the coupon and their own rules. He started making up new rules from thin air just to avoid honoring the coupon. He was also very arrogant and rude. I had no issues using these type of coupons the day before and in other Salvation Army stores. Also FYI Massimo Dutti and Zara are not designer brands and your pricing on those items is outrageous. You pretend to help vulnerable communities yet you attempt to exploit them by overpricing items, as other people have already noted and mentioned. I encourage everyone to avoid this location, the personnel is extremely bad mannered and aggressive, the manager is the worse of them. There are plenty of other locations in the Syracuse area where the personnel is helpful and nice, and the prices make sense.

Donation attendant took one look at our our chest of drawers and said they wouldn’t take it because it was “too old.” It was in great usable shape. More like they won’t take it because he’s too lazy to help me unload it. Kinda shocked for a charitable organization they can be so picky.

Incredible customer service, miriam was extremely helpful, the new person training (young, black, dreadlocks, had their hair tied up) was extremely kind, patient and eager to help. The manager assisted me with my purchases, things were slightly expensive but i shopped on sale; they had good options however as with any thrift store they have little control over what they receive. The store was incredibly organized and even color coded in sections. overall great store, i will be returning, they do sell furniture for anyone curious

The whole store is organized, the fitting rooms are spacious and usually clean, the prices are definitely reasonable most of the time, and there's an older woman cashier who's always too nice and sweet. You can find some good cheap clothing and items here if you are willing to search for a while and utilize the colored tags that are on sale that week. Some of the clothes on the racks have bad stains or large holes, but overall, I think this is a great thrift store! Just a month ago, I found some French plates I've been looking for going on a few years now. I found a huge set someone donated, and I was able to complete my set of bowls and plates.

Given how abrasive and challenging one of the people who was accepting the decent condition solid wood furniture was when I dropped my donation off, I’ll take my stuff to another organization or just bring it to the dump before I bring stuff here again.

The place was well organized and clean. The staff is doing a great job at keeping it tidy! The racks are organized and easy to see what is on them (they are not crammed). It’s definitely one of the cleaner/more organized thrift stores in the Syracuse area. I appreciate it.I found a bunch of nice brand name jeans for a great price.

I had the worst thrifting experience at this location! I picked up two coats and when I came to the register to check out, the cashier decided that the coats were priced too low. So she went to the back and put higher price tags on the coats. Her explanation was that customers were stealing from the store by coming with their own stapler and changing the prices on the items. This is an outrage! Salvation Army gets their items for FREE through donations and then they try to make the most amount of money out of it. No other locations in the Syracuse area have such insane prices. But making up stuff and accusing customers of stealing is the worst! I will never donate nor thrift there again. Avoid this location and the greedy people that are working there!Response to the owner: Like I already mentioned, you are accusing people of stealing (changing tags amounts to that) without any proof, and its clearly a made up story to cover for the incompetence of your employees that do not even know how to tag things properly. You also pretend to care about people with financially challenged situations, yet you are truly the most overpriced thrift store in the entire area of Syracuse. You overprice your items so much that e.g. one can buy NEW Zara items cheaper at their online store when they have sales than at your store, and to make things worse most of the Zara items at your store are damaged. The only thing you are clearly doing is exploiting the goodwill of people that actually want to help and believe that you are helping others while in reality you are just maximizing your profits.

Good clothing selection and dish ware. They didn’t have much art which is what I was looking for. They had a ton of Zara stuff from last year somehow. It was new with tags. There were a decent amount of name brand items, too. There weren’t many men’s hoodies or jackets, probably because they’re so popular. I would go again for clothes!

Why donate to SA...?, staff is very unprofessional.I wanted to recycle my old printer today, but where to donate it? A page I read one of the city's waste disposal pages, advised donating to the SA, so I take the printer here. I inform the staffer that I am deaf, and he turns into "Instant Moron." He would not allow me to speak, and kept shaking his head negatively, he did not say anything. My college major was English, but I speak more languages.I went to the city Waste disposal site, and was given an address to check out. I saw no sign at that address, so I did an Internet search again, Staples came up. I drive to Staples, and drop off the printer, as easy as getting stung while disturbing a hornet's nest. There must be a better solution for residents of Syracuse, NY.

I stopped shopping there years ago when they started sorting clothes by color instead of size. Ridiculous nonsense! I go to Thrifty Shopper where I can quickly see what fits me.

IMHO they are a bit overpriced, but if you hit the sales right, you can make it work for you. Today all sweaters were 99¢!

You would sell more, and therefore make more money, if things were priced at thrift store prices. A used basic T-shirt at $4.99 is ridiculous; one could go to Target and get a brand new T-shirt for $5.99-$7.99. Just because something is designer doesn’t mean it’s right to mark it up; no one working there has the credentials to assess real designer items, so a fake Coach bag for $40 behind the register is at least tacky and at worst grifting.

Sometimes they're furniture is overpriced. And they are not in the best condition.
