We had a wonderful experience with all of the emergency gas technicians yesterday. They were at our house from 3pm till 1 am fixing a clog in our natural gas line. Every worker without exception was kind and considerate while in and out of our house as they diagnosed and fixed the issue. I know it was a long day for most of those guys, but they patiently answered questions and there was never a hint of frustration even though the issue clearly took longer than expected to correct. Thank you again!

Costumer service line is NOT user friendly at all rather FRUSTRATED so I'll not call anymore!! AND... WHY???? DO YOU ALWAYS WAIT SOOOOO MANY DAYS BEFORE TAKING MY PAYMENT ALWAYS SCREWING UP MY ACCOUNT BALANCE COSTING ME MORE MONEY!!?? I had an important question to ask but could I speak to a PERSON??? NO!THIS ADDED... THEY WAITED SO LONG TO TAKE MY PAYMENT THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS NEGATIVE AND WAS CHARGED A FEE!! SO I PUT OVER A HUNDRED BACK IN SO THEY WAIT TOO LONG TO TAKE THAT THUS SCREWING UP MY ACCOUNT AGAIN!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! ANY OTHER BILL I PAY TAKES IT THAT DAY!!!Thanks Nat Grid

After hours of getting no where on the website and customer service (phone), I went to theoffice location which is not actually open to the public. The security guard gave my a different phone # than the one available online and was able to have my issue solved.

This is the old Niagara Mohawk building that is now owned by national grid. It is usually best advised to come in from the rear entrance on Genesee Street since that is where the parking lot is located for visitors who will be driving to the office. Else you can come in from the Erie Blvd entrance if you're not driving. Either way you will still have to check on with security before gaining access to the building.

Check your bill, especially if you are on automatic pay. I paid my account, and they can’t find my payment. I sent multiple proof of payment, including the check they stamped. Yet the charge keeps appearing on my bill. I just called for the fifth time and was told it could take 45 days to fix (the last person said 12). I have only been with this company a few months and I am not impressed with their efficiency or customer service. Can you imagine a business taking your money, “losing” it and then asking you to pay again and again? Automatic payers make sure you haven’t been double charged.

It's a shame we do not have the option regarding who our service provider is. I'm sure that people would leave in droves if they had a choice. This company has some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Everyone is nasty and no one provides the proper customer service, even though it's a service we pay for. I don't know how we can get rid of National Grid but the second I can I will.Update: Still waiting to have the lights turned on. Called Thursday last week they said the soonest would be Monday. Tuesday rolled around and now it’s Wednesday. Still no lights. There’s no way this isn’t a human rights violation. One rep said the tech was 20-30 mins away the others kept saying he’s in the field. Was told it was my choice if I decided to sleep in the car or in a freezing house. Great way to treat people let alone your combat Vets
