I have been coming here for almost 15 years with all my dogs and cats I have had. It is not corporatized- it is owned by Dr Lezkovitch- an incredible and very experienced vet that I have immense respect for. There have been several other good vets here over the years but she is always here and takes incredible care of my animals. Her office staff is beyond beyond beyond amazing- (not a typo- they are worth 3 beyonds!) patient, kind, knowledgeable, understanding, and helpful. And- they are the same people that have been here all 15 years! To me, that says that the business takes care of their people because there isn't that turnover you see in most businesses! I don't feel like they pressure unnecessary procedures; I have never felt rushed when I ask a million questions about taking good care of my animals; and they have been there through the very difficult times that come with being a fur-parent. They also are pretty good about getting my animals in as soon as they can. They are busy - which is another sign that they are good people, but still always get my fur-kids in asap when necessary. It is not cheap, but I think that is an issue everywhere and comparatively I believe they are fairly priced. Though I do wish they'd throw in a complimentary nail trim with exams, but that's just wishing, I suppose, lol! (And they have actually done that a couple times over the years to my immense gratitude- we always just like an extra treat lol) I have nothing but amazing things to say about all the people who work at Mattydale animal hospital!

I have been with them for over 30 years. Love the care they gave all of my loved pets . I am not just a client I have become a friend. If people complain about their price. They are experts they are worth it!

Saved our baby girl!
Our vet was booked up weeks out and actually recommended an emergency visit here. We took her in today and she was seen and treated right away. The price they quoted is we very affordable and quite lower than our actual vet ( big plus) the staff was very friendly and helpful. Baby girl seemed to like it here and was calm overall for her condition. We are in the process of changing over to this location with our other pets.

I have been bringing my pets to MAH for at least 45 years. I have always had a positive experience there and felt the vets and staff did an outstanding job caring for them. When I lost my last dog, Duffy, I couldn't have asked for a more compassionate vet than Dr. Hennigan.

I have been bringing my boy Killer to this Animal Hospital since he was 4 months old and he has been given excellent care every time and we love everyone here. Killer is now 12 yrs old

The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Green and Dr. Hennigan have been amazing with my dogs and cat. They are compassionate and caring. They treat my animals like they would treat their own.

Went here for a few years before. Last straw was when they shoved us out the back door with our dead cat in a cardboard box. Absolutely no hospitality, no regard or empathy for anything but money. Even the paw they did quick was cheap, it never solidified. It is just a dust pile with a paw print because if i move it the paw impression will be gone. We go to Total Veterinary Care now, down in cicero near Panera bread. Place is absolutely wonderful. The people are kind, they aren’t obnoxious about the prices and they genuinely care about and remember your pet. They even refer you to other places if they dont provide a specific service, like a home euthanasia. They definitely undercharge and they squeeze in extra paw prints for you, and they let you have your time to grieve the loss. They are extremely sweet. MAH is the last place you want to go.

My 18 yr old daughter had a leopard gecko she loved which got sick with what looked like stick tale syndrome. She found this vet who will see exotic animals. They charged her $71 (of her hard earned money) for a visit, only to tell her the lizard looked fine (after lizard had been listless, having diarrhea, losing tail density). She brought a p*** sample which they said they could not use. She asked about bringing another sample back and they told her she could if she wanted. The lizard was dead 2 days later.

They do tests that are not mentioned (or needed for what you brought your pet in for) in the exam room and then try to charge you for things they perform that you didn't ask for or even knew about! When you question these charges, they send you a letter in the mail removing your pet as a patient. The front desk staff is rude and dismissive. They act like they hate their jobs and take it out on the ppl coming in to get their pets help.
