Get your Lionel trains and accessories here. Friendly knowledgeable staff recently took a look at my old locomotive but my childhood train was beyond repair. Good news was they had an affordable replacement in stock to take place where my old one left off. I was also able to get a nice straight piece of track and now my old train is a great mantelpiece. Bought an MTH North Pole engine from the website at full price for $500 plus shipping. When I opened it the connector between the engine and tender was bad so the locomotive wouldn’t run properly. There was also chipped paint on the underside. I returned the engine (at my expense) and asked to replace or refund. They said they could repair it (it was the only one they had left) and I agreed and they sent it back to me saying it was repaired. Later when I set the train up for the holidays, it was still having issues stalling and stopping and the chuff sound only working intermittently. Since it had been more than a month since I purchased it from Jr Junction, I sent it to MTH for repair. They’re the manufacturer so they should be able to fix it no problem, I thought. MTH worked on it and sent it back to me but it was still having issues so I sent it back to MTH again. MTH worked on it again, said they repaired it and shipped it back to me but the engine still had the same issues of stalling and the sound only working intermittently. Frustrated but hoping I could get it fixed once and for all, I tried sending it to an MTH store that I purchase things from closer to where I live. They are an authorized MTH repair facility and had successfully repaired other MTH engines I own. His tech worked with it on and off for months and finally sent it back to me with a bill. They were able to repair the sound issue but the engine still stalls and stops unexpectedly. So I spent hundreds on the engine and hundreds in shipping and repair costs on an engine that still doesn’t work right. Very frustrating and disappointing. I will never purchase anything from MTH again. Fool me once, shame on you. MTH to me means Major Train Headache.

Awesome place! This is a family run business that treats you like you are one of the family. They have a great selection, and if they don't have it, they can order it for you. Besides trains, they have a great selection of model, cars and aircraft. I highly recommend them for all your hobby needs.

EXCELLENT. The owner is very knowledgeable. I brought one of my Lionel Christmas cars in to get repaired it turned out to be a small fix. He didn't make my fix something bigger for a better sale. He was AWESOME. He has a super selection. We ended up walking out with much more than my repaired piece!!!! No pressure. No salesman standing over your shoulder. You can walk around with ease and not worry about someone trying to upsell you. This guy and place is the real deal. We traveled about 40 miles to go to his shop and IT..WAS..WORTH IT

Was looking for a discontinued part, JR Junction had it on their website. Communicated a couple times, now I have more than I'll probably ever need on the way (that's a good thing with parts obsolescence, by the way). Because of volume, worked with me on price and ensured the deal was mutually useful. Highly recommended.
