I went to Installations Unlimited to have my backup camera repaired/replaced and the whole experience wasn't terrible to say the least. Not only did I have to sit in their little corner waiting area for 4.5 hours! They attached a cheap camera tomy lisence plate and drilled a hole in my tailgate and completely disregarded the old camera. So not only did I have 2 cameras (1 working, 1 not) but it was mounted so high that I couldn't see the ground! I brought it to their attention, and the manager told me that they would "see what they could do", what they did was tear apart the mount that I bought for the previous camera and hot glued it into place and then had the nerve to criticize my previous equipment but installed a camera that was far worse than my previous one. In all, I am left with a bill for $412.59 and 4.5 hours wasted out of my day for a cheap camera that I cannot adjust because it is hot glued into place. It is also visually unappealing with a shotty picture and a universal mount that I bought is no longer useable. (which it had 2 tiny screws on each side to remove the camera from the mount) but they were cut from the mount to make room for some glue. Sounds pretty logical to me. I know how to install audio equipment but I figured that I could save some time by having them do it and be covered by warranty. Man was I wrong! I would not recommend them for any service in any way possible. 4.5 hours to wire a camera to the trunk lid is a little ridiculous, and $80.00 for a knock off camera is insane! If I could give this experience a half star, I most definitely would! To sum it all up in one word HORRIBLE!

Wanted the perfect Father’s Day gift. Thank you Sean and the IU team. You delivered! My grill came perfect from Installations Unlimited. Live and learn. Tell everybody my story so they don’t waste time or money looking elsewhere.My story:My weber grill after 9 years needed to be replaced. My wife said get a new one and it will be an early Father’s Day present. There was Memorial Day sale and thought a Weber griddle would be ideal.Sorry folks but you get what you pay for and if you go to a big box store like Home Depot you will regret it. What was a present became a nightmare with Home Depot. First griddle (Weber) delivered was marked up and had been put together with stripped bolt that held on the tray. When reported Home Depot asked me to pay for another and would pick up the old one. Two day later the HD driver calls with the replacement to be delivered and says this one has a 6” gash in the hood that Home Depot tried to cover up with a sticker. This was after I personally spoke to a Home Depot manager and told him to make sure the replacement not damaged like the last one. He said no problem. Frustrated I called and canceled the order at this point.The Blessing in disguise:Well I had time to research. Do your homework. First Weber is not the best outdoor griddle. Second the maintenance will keep you seasoning and cleaning a griddle wasting time and effort. This definitely was not the outside grill I really wanted. To add insult to injury the accessories I ordered from Home Depot with the Weber Griddle couldn’t be returned until the Weber was returned. This process took a week and a half from my first delivery day and two trips waiting in line at the service desk as well as several calls. Another reason not to do business with a big box company!The Solution:After serious research I decided on a traditional gas grill. What brand? Weber again? Then I saw Napoleon and a light bulb went off. I saw one at Installations Unlimited back in 2020. Luckily I found a comparison review for the exact two models. Napoleon had a landslide win for the same price.Installations Unlimited is a Gold Dealer. I know they are meticulous about everything they do. I had complete confidence as I saw many results from custom home installations for friends. I reached out and immediately was replied to and showed the exact grill I wanted was in stock. Sean made it super easy for me to purchase by sending an invoice so I could purchase right from my phone receiving a quote , invoice and then the receipt. They even set up the delivery for the next morning and I was expecting the following week. Friday morning IU came and delivered my Napoleon grill..The Results:This grill is beyond my expectations and IU delivered it ON TIME as promised and in new condition. It was done so fast and with courtesy. Thanks Again Team IU .

Dropped my car off at 9am and didn't get done until 530 when they said afternoon(ruined my whole day by lieing about times), called for progress and he said I'll call you back in 30 minutes and he never called back(also very short and rude on phone). Left floor board very dirty. When I picked the car up they gave the most half a**ed explanation on how my remote start worked. Overall terrible customer service and way over priced. I also had one speaker installed and they didn't tell me how much it was, putting one speaker in was $50 which is really expensive. Would not recommend going there again. Was going to ask about tint on 2 vehicles but after the way the conducted themselves with a remote start I will not be going back to them ever again. Overall dislike everything about this place. I hope they installed this right so I don't have to go back for any warranty work.Came out to my car this morning and the attena fell off the wind shield (less than 24 hours after installation)

Wouldn't let them touch a 2 wire Amish buggy. Not worth the hassle supporting local, stay far away.

I had a new Bluetooth system installed, had to come back for some adjustments, but must mention the service techs, Rick and James made sure everything was to my satisfaction before I left. Highly recommended!

These guys are great! I have been here several times with different vehicles making modifications, typically stereos and remote car starters, and every single time they are amazing! The service and explanation of what they have in stock based on what I'm looking to buy is always comprehensive and thorough. They are always very professional and everything always looks slick! I recently had an issue with the new stereo I purchased and they replaced it under warrantee. Kudos to the IU staff!

To save time, they painted my calipers with brushed, which looks horrible and ruined the appearance of my carReply to owner's Respones: You never discussed any avaliable options with me, the reason I left a review one and half years later was also because I just learned there there were better ways to do it, but you chose the easiest way.

Oh dear. What happened guys! Was recommended this place by wife’s uncle, so called up a month ago to arrange a tail hitch, a roof rack and running boards for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Booked the appointment, paid a deposit and was set for 8am for 6 hours of work, expecting to collect for early afternoon. We traveled up from NYC for this and another event, The day before as we are driving upstate we get a call from them to ask to reschedule the appointment. I inform them we are not local and can’t do that. They reluctantly keep the appointment but tell me it will now take all day, so we had to change our afternoon plans. I arrived at 8am and dropped the car off, headed to breakfast. By 11am I’d received the call that two right-sided running boards had arrived, so they couldn’t installed those. Very disappointing of course. But still we had the roof rack and the tail hitch being done which were more important. Wife picked me up at 2pm and we headed back to see when the car was done. Was then informed the roof rack had been delivered without essential parts, so they couldn’t install that either. Quite stunning. I was informed this never happens and their suppliers are top notch. Dejected, I was told the tail hitch would need another hour and a half, so 7 hours in total, to be finished. We came back at 3, waited another 20 mins and eventually got our car, some money back and left. They apologized but was a shambles really. Not sure if they got a bigger job come in and decided just not to do mine, or if the parts were indeed incorrect on two orders. Hopefully not the former, but either way can’t use these guys again. Shame as I’m sure they usually do great work.

Went in to have my after market radio fixed. “Where did you get it installed.” In Oswego. “Oh we have a lot of there costumer’s end up here.” I said my radio is acting weird and my backup camera isn’t working. Bring it in and we’ll see what we can do. My backup camera is in my Ford emblem. They said it isn’t fixable. I know because you have to remove the emblem to work on it and they couldn’t do it. So they did the minimum and connected my radio to my ignition so when I started the truck the radio came on. I was told that if that didn’t work down the line I would need a new radio. I started the car and the radio came on. Went to Fairhaven, turned off the truck and had something to eat. Came out turned on the truck no radio. Called the next day “sorry we told you if it didn’t work you would need a new radio “ so after spending $100 I asked if I got a new radio from you would you give me $100 off the new radio. No . So buyers be ware. As fare as I’m concerned if there repairs lasted longer than 30 minutes it would be understandable, like at least a month.???
