I was nervous going in since it was my first time but Candace was really sweet and gentle with my hair. She did a fantastic job with my hair. 10/10 I would 100% go there again.

Emily always does a great job with my hair and I love chatting with her too! Everyone at the Grainery is so friendly and fun to be around. Plus I appreciate the complementary bang trims. The cherry on top is the beautiful aesthetic and interior design. Tipping my head back into the hair washing basin to look up at the chandeliers always makes me feel so fancy!

I did a last minute search for local hair salons because I wanted to get my red color freshened up before major events I had lined up. I sent a message though the site and received a prompt response in under 24 hours, which I was super grateful for as I was hoping to get in soon. Claudia got me in with Emily. I was super impressed because I've been coloring my hair red for 4 years; she was meticulous and careful as she applied the color--all done in a timely fashion. The end result was best I've had in quite some time. Overall, a great salon with kind people, a wide-range of services, and well accommodated.Service: Hair coloring

I went to Inspire at the Grainery for the first time Wednesday evening. Emily was my hair stylist that night and she was so friendly, sweet, and easygoing. I had a wonderful first impression of this place as Emily was wonderful, the atmosphere and other staff members seemed welcoming, and I left feeling so at ease and happy with my hair at the end of my cut and new color. I've been looking for a salon to call home for a long time now since moving back to Syracuse and I can see this place is 100% my go to now.

Very disappointed. Went three times to have my hair done and when I tried explaining that the color was breaking my hair and the way my hair was cut in back was uneven I received an attitude. The hair stylist didn’t listen and simply became defensive and then “fired” me as her client instead of trying to listen and learn. I wouldn’t go back here or recommend this stylist or place to anyone.

This is a review of a stylist employed by the salon, not the salon. I’ve never written a Google review, but had a really negative experience with Emily W. I booked her in June 2021 for my wedding in June 2022. She opted to have me book with her personally. When I reached out to her in April 2022 to confirm the timeline, see if she had any edits/questions, etc., she said she’d switched to a new salon (this one) and that they had since booked her for another wedding on the same date. She apparently hadn't told them she was already booked. In this communication she said she could still do my wedding since we needed her to come later in the day. At the end of May she reached out again and dropped out. She didn't successfully find a replacement and implied I was somehow at fault for the situation for booking with her directly a year out (as if I should have known she would forget her commitment?). I'd been excited to work with Emily, but if you’re looking for someone you can rely on for your wedding, look elsewhere.

The haircut was decent overall. However, I had to wait 15 minutes past my appointment time so The stylist that was assigned to me could take a bunch of photos of the client before me. Ordinarily this would not bother me, but it ran into my appointment time, which I found very unprofessional. Furthermore my hair stylist did the usual of washing my hair and cutting it, but there was absolutely no styling past that. I thought I would at least walk out of there with curls or some sort of finished look. She blew my hair dry and that was it. The girl before me had her hair completely curled and a very finished and polished look. I have gone to other places and The styling is included in the price of the haircut. Basically, I have gotten more bangs for my buck in a more professional atmosphere in other places in Syracuse. Also, another stylist came up to my stylist while she was doing my hair and told her that her next appointment had arrived. So my stylist was not only 15 minutes late to start my appointment, she then cut my appointment early so that she could be on time for her following appointment, hence there for not providing me with the full service of my appointment. I went there in a pinch, but I wouldn't do it again.

Had a wonderful experience with Patricia! She was very sweet and personal. I've spent a while growing my hair out and she seemed very eager to work with it. Made me feel comfortable. It was a lot. The cut turned out super beautiful; just exactly what was needed. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone who needs a fresh cut!
