We opened an individual account online with Chase recently, but they advised if you want a joint account you must thereafter go to a local Chase office and add the second person. So we did just that yesterday arriving at 10:30 am after driving 20+ miles one way. Upon arrival the teller paged the in-house, so called "banker", and he promptly advised us that he could not provide customer service as he was too busy and to come back another day ! I have been dealing with financial institution for over 50 years and I have never, I said "never" been told to go away and come back when its more convenient for the bank to provide customer service ! Yes, I have been told to please take a seat and we will help you as soon as possible, but "never go away" ! But I suppose this behavior is a natural filtering down attitude generated by the arrogant CEO Jamie Dimon and his "too big to fail bank" that was bailed out by the taxpayers and who has his big hands in the Federal governments pockets. So rather than getting upset with this "non-customer service" oriented, do nothing Chase, I will go back and continue to use my local financial institutions and credit unions that have their interests focused on the customer first and not the convenience of the banks employees. Good bye and good riddance !

Went there to open an account, just like every new student in the US, the woman who works there told me that with my passport and DS2019 it was not enough and that she couldn't open the account. The next day I went to another branch and they opened the account just fine. What a waste of time and resources is this branch. Very bad predisposition to help.

Recently visited Fairmont branch of Chase and was highly disappointed with customer service from Rebecca. First of all she made us wait 20 min for our scheduled appointment. And then Rebecca was extremely rude assisting us. Being immigrant not a reason to be mistreated. I'm sure Chase can do better with it's customer service at Fairmont branch.

For a bank with no drive thru you would think they would have more than one teller open. Extremely slow counter service

Chase is a terrible bank for everyday American citizens. $12 monthly fee if you don’t have a job or $1000 just lying around in your account. That’s $144 a year. The staff is poorly trained and look like deer in headlights. I haven’t been able to use my account because the teller didn’t take proper id or educate me (consumer) on the steps needed to cash the type of check I deposited. The 1800 customer service is the worst customer service I have ever had in my life!!!! I’ve worked in customer service for a few years for multiple big companies so I tend to cut slack but the amount of Attitude!; rude connotations, the refusal to help, and lack of knowledge blew my mind! This will be the last trip I ever make to chase I’m taking all my funds out and closing this account and telling any and all the people I meet that have chase about the repeated terrible service I received and how they should switch to a new bank or credit union. I.e Empower or Chime! Best two banks I’ve ever had! Of all the banks I’ve had I rate Chase an absolute 0. Honestly hope the company gets exposed for the fees they have for people struggling right now to keep a job and money in their account.
