I'm not from Syracuse, but I've heard good things about this dealer, and I would like to give it a try. I got my dream car, and Debbie Matticio is trustworthy and helpful. She ensures that the vehicle is well taken care of before delivery. I'm delighted with my purchase and decided to buy the platinum cover package. It has been nearly five months, and everything looks good so far! I recommend this dealer to everyone, especially Volvo enthusiasts!

I work at the Syracuse Academy school near this service. Thinking that this was a good service, I went and left my car on Tuesday with my friend for repair and maintenance. I told them one by one where my car needed to be repaired. I left my contact numbers but no one called or asked me until the evening. Very unserious service. The next day I went again with my friend and there was no one at the service and I had to wait half an hour. Then a friend came and said that they would call the next day, which is today, and fix the car but no one called. I took them thinking that it was a really good service but I was very wrong. I will not go again or recommend it to anyone else.

Tried to squeeze the most profit out of me. I visited 3 different times to go over numbers and only was provided with hand written quotes. $500 away from making the deal happen and they would not over allow on the trade or negotiate their price. Then they tell me that the lender (they chose to do business with) charges fees on the back end that wouldn’t allow them to make money on the advertised price of their vehicle. Never again. Asking for deposit before securing finance. Came in first on a Tuesday, again Wednesday and Saturday. Then I went to Utica because they didn’t have it there when they said they were bringing it for me. Get it to Syracuse for me Saturday just to waste more of my time. Car still isn’t inspected and still can’t make a deal. To be told on Saturday that even if we make numbers match today they need until Tuesday to prep the vehicle. And told me that I’m REQUIRED to get the warranty. “In order to make this deal work with these numbers” because they’re not making enough. Totally unprofessional. Initial numbers $26k vehicle $649 a month 17% interest 1000 down. Then get slapped with $4000 down and payment now at $739 a month same vehicle. What happened? I didn’t have a problem with putting the money down, I ended up putting 3,000 down at another dealer for the same vehicle, higher price 1 year newer. The problem is they offered $500 for my trade. Which is scrap. They wouldn’t over allow by another $500 to reach $1000 for that trade. I’d put down the other 3. But instead of negotiating the price, by 500 (really does anyone pay sticker? as they say) they actually increased the price of vehicle versus their online advertised price because they wouldn’t make enough. And said they’re not “going to take a loss”. Still couldn’t tell me how much the warranty was or get that on paper to see these “fees”. Felt like I kept getting brushed to the side so I would finally walk versus them just saying “we can’t make enough off of you”. My salesperson was taking walk in’s while I’m still sitting up front waiting for papers. Was told finance would come speak with me. Walked out. And then after I left, is when i finally got a proposal with the higher than advertised price! “we have to bring the price up to make this deal” .. I got approved elsewhere for the same vehicle 1 year newer at $31,999 versus theirs at $26,777 online price. Less down! Same lender! The deal I went with offered $1500 for that trade and $3000 down where Alan wanted $3,500 down with my trade valued at $500. My vehicle from the other guys was prepped, inspected, financed, negotiated, even did new rotors on my request, under 48 hours.

We could not be happier with the recent service we received at Alan Byer! One of our Volvos unexpectedly had an engine issue involving burnt valves and excessive carbon build-up. Roman got it in immediately and Dustin evaluated the situation and helped us obtain good-will assistance from Volvo, thereby saving us from an otherwise very costly repair! This is a perfect example of how Long term customer relationships built on loyalty and trust pays off, as we’ve always ONLY had Alan Byer service our Volvos so they have the full history of our cars. We are always happy with our service. And we have always greatly appreciated Dustin Beauchene the service manager who always goes above and beyond to help the customers. He always does a great job at keeping us updated on what is needed on our Volvos. He is not only very knowledgeable but also absolutely trustworthy to work with. Thanks to the amazing service team at Alan Byer, we have been blessed with the peace of mind whenever we leave our cars with them, knowing everything is done correctly. Reliability, accuracy, and most importantly, Dustin and his team, are the reasons why we will continue to be loyal customers of Volvo and Alan Byer.

The service center was great ! Roman and Jim are excellent to work with, both are professional, and exhibited respect and responsiveness while solving small issues with the car. Though I never met the mechanics, they did an exceptional job serving the car. I owned Saabs in the past and currently own a 1991 Saab turbo convertible, this is our first Volvo xc 90. These Swedish built cars are designed for safety and comfort and are fun to drive. My wife and I are happy to own a Volvo, they stand behind their product.

The sales experience at Alan Byer Volvo was beyond exceptional. I wanted a used SUV and I found one at their dealership. The car is literally like new and I have just had a blast in it. It has been a few months since I bought the car and it has been a perfect fit. They were patient with me and gave me a fair deal. I worked with Rachael Myers and she was courteous and professional. My husband has always dreamed of owning a Volvo XC90, and we finally decided to visit the Volvo dealership after looking at Alan Byer's website.
From the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. We made our deposit on the first visit. After returning home, we had some doubts and questions regarding the car's condition, but our sales representative, Rachael was very helpful and responsive. She provided thorough explanations and sought clarification on all our concerns.
