After my dog was bitten by another much larger dog. We were in a panic and decided to take him to the nearest facility Syosset animal hospital. We were able to get them in there and we're happy with the service. I forwarded the bill to my dogs vet who got upset when he saw what we were charged. He said they did everything he would've done except they charged you double. I called Syosset Animal Hopsital to find out why there was such a discrepancy and they gave me excuses and basically a bunch of BS. After voicing my disappointment at their obvious fleecing the lady said I'm sorry you feel that way. I told her I was sorry she felt that way, and that she will never see us again. Avoid this hospital at all COST! There are so many great places around who will not absolutely rip you off. Find another.

Dr. G. & Dr. S. are highly astute clinicians. I wholeheartedly trust them. Every time I have brought in my senior cat and his younger “brother” for a sick visit, they always find the time for a thorough exam and treatment plan resulting in a quick return back to good health. Visits never feel rushed and their compassion shows! Moreover, their techs and front desk staff are personable, patient, and caring.

I no longer go here for my pet. I wish I could. He was so comfortable here. Long story short I had to call 3 times for test results. When your animal is sick it's hard enough but when you are ignored it's 1000 x worse. I had to stalk them for results. And I felt like they were always right there and ready to upcharge me for something else. Very disappointed. My vet for 7 years. In the end seemed they didn't care.

My cat has had an issue with his ear for years. We were going to another vet who wasn't helping the issue. Finally went to Syosset Animal Hospital and they found the problem and is helping him get better!

We love the staff and the MDs! They're always there when we need them with a smile on their face and a genuinely sincere manner! The exams are always thorough and any questions we may have always get answered. We truly appreciate you all!

We went for eye surgery for my cat Marie and the attention she received was wonderful, I had never experienced anything like it, all the staff are excellent doing what they like best.

I have the most temperamental orange cat in the world. He absolutely hates having his toe nails cut, despite this both Dr.Gothelf and his flawless staff of knowledgeable and caring vet techs got my grumpy cat in an out and with no stress. I’ll 100% be coming back.

I wasn’t going to make a big deal about this but I’m going to another hospital and I keep getting emails and letters from this hospital. One of the employees, Hayley Faust, noticed I dropped my dogs records in the parking lot. Instead of leaving it at the office, she took it and assured me she would drop them off at my house. 4 months passed, everytime I asked she said she would bring it soon or she would just ignore me. At that point I said some very nasty things to her. I regret it because she used to be a good friend of mine. But she put my dogs health at risk and for months I didn’t know what vaccines she needed or what she was up to date on. Please stop emailing/sending me letters. The vets seemed ok, but if this is the type of employee they hire, then how good are they really?

Everyone was friendly and patient, from front desk, nurse, and the veterinarian. The hospital is clean, and they sell products just in case there is a last minute need for any animal supplies. Very lucky to have Syosset Hospital in my neighborhood. Thank you Syosset Hospital!

The team at Syosset Animal Hospital is beyond caring and kind. They are preemptive with care for my beloved dog Cody, and informative at all stages of his vet visits and updates. Syosset Animal Hospital is everything I've been looking for in terms of care for my pup. I always know Syosset Animal Hospital has my pets care and well-being at the forefront of every interaction. The Dr.'s are extremely informed on matters of canine health and available treatments on Long Island and around the world. Cody could not be in better hands. My husband found Syosset Animal Hospital from an online Google search. Our goldendoodle puppy, Charlie, has been going since he was 8 weeks old. Dr. Gothelf has been with me every step of the way as Charlie is my first dog. He is very thorough, attentive, and honest with his recommendations. He doesn't charge for every little thing and is really nice/friendly when handling Charlie. Charlie actually likes going to the vet and doesn't want to leave! Dr. Gothelf performed Charlie's neuter and dewclaw surgery. Charlie came home with a cone and his hind legs were bandaged up. He didn't have any complications or infections post-surgery and recovered within a week and a half.Syosset Animal Hospital also had a Halloween event and we were able to bring Charlie in his pirate costume to get a bag filled with treats and a toy. It was his first time trick-o-treating and he still plays with his toy! Overall, Syosset Animal Hospital is a great place to bring your pet for preventatives, surgery, or Halloween!
