“I went to Aboff's to replicate a can of paint that I purchased at an Aboff's in 1985. Although Aboff no longer carried the brand paint I had, the Manager of the Syosset store, J.R. Cruz, was incredibly helpful in helping me figure out how to touch up my railing with the small amount of paint I had left in the bottom of the can, which was buried under a crust that had formed over the past decades. Accordingly, I was able to complete my touch up without having to buy a quart of new paint, and to finish the job with a minimal amount of work and without having to repaint the entire railing. Thanks so much!!”

“Friendly, professional, and ready to help you through any paint project. I do a lot of sign painting, and it is easy to purchase my supplies in bulk, which are made ready for pick up within a day or too. Always purchase from a local business. . Especially one that does do much for our community.”

“We had such a nice experience working with Tom! He was incredibly helpful and guided us throughout the entire process. Another store employee helped carry all our paint to our car outside and was really sweet as well!”

“This place is amazing! Because it's beautifully designed and organized. They have everything you can imagine (and more) yet doesn't appear cluttered. The staff are mostly older people that know and care about their products and customers. When I first walked in, I felt like I had come from a time machine and was experiencing a store setup like they were in the past, in a small town. The staff was genuinely friendly and interested in my project.”

“Easy to see right off of New York Avenue servicing Huntington Station and the adjoining areas of Suffolk County. Parking on the Street is available but it fills up fast especially at night and on the weekends. Reasonably priced. Credit cards accepted. Nice staff. We will definitely be going back.”

“The manager and other workers are patient and helpful. There are so many types and colors of paints (as well as accessories to make the job easier) that it would be hard to find exactly what you need without their assistance.”

“We were looking for a stain and were impressed with the number of different colors available in the store. In addition, the gentleman working there was very helpful. Once we had picked a color, he mixed it on-site and we were out the door a few minutes later. Also, it turned out there was a "special" running that day and it knocked the price of the can of stain down quite a bit. It was an excellent experience from start to finish.”

“Amazing employees. I've been there 4 times so far, slowly repainting our house. They've always been SO friendly and helpful, and have even double checked when an order seems off based on what we had already purchased - what amazing customer service! Who does that these days?! They were also SO nice and showed our kids how they mix the paint - it made our whole week!! The best place for paint, and any paint or stain supplies you may need!”

“Holy moly. This is the best building store for both pros and DIY’ers. The store was renovated and restocked in first part of 2024 and it’s even better than before. Riverhead is my go to for lumber, trim and moulding, paint and stains, cauks, both common and rare fasteners, drywall supplies, general building supplies and tools. They carry most of the stuff big box does but with a friendly expert staff.

1) Premium (straight) lumber
2) They’ll cut down lumber and load it for you for free
3) $50 delivery on orders under $500
4) Open an account and they email you an invoice for your records every night”

“Amazing customer service! Had an old can of paint and needed to do some touch-ups but didn't remember the name. They remixed the old paint and strained it, all completely free of charge, so I was able to use the paint I had.”
