Just moved out of state for the first time, and Lemkau could not have done a better job! Don was so courteous and helpful during our consultation, and really tried to help find the best moving plan for me. Chris and Dario were so careful and considerate with my belongings - everything was well-wrapped and protected, and nothing arrived with scratches or cracks. These two had to carry my furniture a long way to the appartment I moved into, and they did it with such kindness and good spirits. They refused to leave until I was totally satisfied with where they put everything. Could not recommend Lemkau more to trust with your move!

We moved from Long Island to out of state. Morton Lemkau did an awesome job from day one of meeting with my family to the day of move. Highly recommend. Moving is stressful. This company helps in a big way lower the stresses that comes with this event.

Alex was AMAZING! My vending machines needed to be moved pretty quickly and with such short notice I wasn’t able to pay the prices neighborhood movers were asking for. I reached out to Alex told him my situation and he and his team were able to go above and beyond for me. Where do I begin...
For starters, this review is long overdue. I used Lemkau Movers nearly 2 years ago to pack and load my moving container for an out-of-state move. But better late than never in recognizing the outstanding service from Don, Alex, Chris, and one other gentleman whose name escaped me.
2 years ago, I had grand plans to pack my entire house's belongings myself and my husband would load the container with everything. I was 30 weeks pregnant, but I was determined to figure it out. I set the container pick-up date and started getting to work at nights after work and on weekends wrapping things in bubble wrap, putting things away in boxes, etc. Then I went into pre-term labor and all plans needed to change quickly...
I hustled to find movers last minute, and I'm so fortunate I found Lemkau Movers. From the very first phone call with Don, I knew I was in good hands. Don was so patient with me and answered all of my questions thoroughly. The quote was very fair, the process was easy, and Don also recommended movers in the destination state to help me unload, and that turned out wonderfully too.
On packing/loading day, Alex and team did an incredibly superior job. We had alot of stuff to cram into a single container. They handled all items with care and wrapped, padded, and packed everything appropriately. There is no chance my husband and I could've replicated the extreme level of Tetris mastery Alex portrayed...we needed every inch of the container, and he made it happen. It was truly impressive!
Thank you so much to the amazing Lemkau Movers team. You guys are the best at what you do!

Everyone at Lemkau was marvelous to and from our home of 27 years to our new one. They were more than helpful & accommodated our every request. Most importantly, every item was carefully packed and arrived with no damage. The price was reasonable given the size & complexity of the job. There is a reason they have been in business for over 75 years. Highly recommend.

I was very impressed with Morton Lemkau movers for many reasons.
1. The people you are dealing with Alex and Don genuinely care about coordinating moving dates with you.
2. They are very transparent with pricing and my job estimate to take 8 hours took 6 so they came under estimate which made me very happy.
3. The guys moving you Bill supervisor and his team were very efficient and careful of items moved. And placement of items.
4. I did not have to put a deposit down and did not have to pay till
Job was complete and they took a personal check.
All round a positive experience with them!!
I would highly recommend Morton movers and would use again. ?

Recently we moved out of state and with much trepidation to choose a moving company that would be competent, reliable, reasonable in price and easy to work with, our concerns were put at rest having chosen Morton Lemkau. From the initial meeting with Don, we felt comfortable in our decision. He was extremely easy to work with especially since our situation required 2 moves due to the number of boxes. We also dealt with Alex who helped with our move. Chris, the driver and his crew were excellent handling our possessions. Highly recommend this company.

Our moving was the easiest part of getting into our new apartment-with thanks to Lemkau! Reaching out to the moving coordinator was a breeze, and they also provided helpful moving resources and recommendations for furniture. We had three movers arrive day off, all of them were professional, courteous and careful with our furniture and belongings. The guys had a wonderful attitude even though our move happened on a rainy day, and made sure that our belongings were protected from the elements. I will absolutely recommend Lemkau to anyone in the process of moving, and will plan to use them in the future as well! Thank you :)

While moving is a trying experience anytime, Lemkau made it as pleasant and effective as possible. The office staff is professional and skip the hard sell. Rates are reasonable and one can choose a fixed price. On moving day, everything went smoothly: the men were organized and effi isn't and on a personal note very considerate: Seeing I had trouble standing, the last out was my winged chair and the first item into my new home-you guessed it!I would readily recommend Lemkau to anyone. Yesterday, I had written a negative review for this moving company … HOWEVER, after receiving a personal call today from the company explaining a rate unfortunate set of circumstances that had occurred within the company during our interstate move, I’d like to change my review … the unusual circumstances apparently created a “perfect storm” for them causing their usual mode of doing business to become inoperative and resulted in the breach of communication with us and the confusion surrounding the arrival of the moving trucks to our new home…in reference to the damaged bookcase and chandelier issues they offered acceptable compensation and a truly sincere apology for those issues…I'm grateful to them that my review was important enough for them to reach out to me and offer an apology and fair compensation for the difficulties that had occurred…because of their actions today, I’ve changed my review to a positive one and feel comfortable recommending them as a moving company on Long Island, NY…

Best moving company we’ve ever used. This is the team you want to help you move during what is, let’s face it, an extremely stressful time. From start to finish, their team was responsive and respectful. These were seasoned movers who think of everything for you. We didn’t have to lift a finger.
