I and both of my daughters have been using Steven , for years!!!HE IS TRULY AN ARTIST! I have taken friends to him as well ! For the last 20 years I will only let him cut my hair! I recommend everyone give him a try you will be extremely HAPPY ! Steven at Alter Ego is not only Kind, understanding, honest and a beautiful person ! You will be amazed by Steven’s hair cuts! I want to sing Patty and Cailyn's praises. After my daughter received a botched highlight job at another local salon and oxidized her hair and turned it orange - these wonderful women worked to calm my daughter down and did several treatments to try and remove the orange brassy color from my daughter's naturally blonde hair. They were so patient and kind to her. Thank you!

A friend told me about this Salon recently and even though I have lived in the neighborhood forever, I had never visited this Salon and this is my biggest regret. I had a fantastic experience when i went to get a hair cut. Firstly they really follow safety protocols that include checking your temperature at the door and ensuring that the stylists don't work too close together. My haircut from Steve was my best haircut in all of my 50 years. He is a true artist. He took a lot of time with my hair, gave me suggestions, asked me relevant questions and really listened. The end result just wowed me !!! I am so so happy with my haircut and needless to say they have made a customer for life.

I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to getting my hair cut/colored. I’m very specific with my hair color so specific that I mix the color myself. I’m not trying to be dramatic here but if you’re not going to this salon you’re seriously missing out. I came in SUPER ANXIOUS and let me tell you in my 26 years of living I have NEVER had a better hair cut or color IN MY LIFE!!! Nicole gave me a glaze and not only was the coverage immaculate but the color was PERFECT. Then Steven cut my hair and I was nervous because anytime someone cuts my hair I hate it. BUT STEVEN IS A GENIUS. I’ve never been happier with my hair and I’m sorry for being dramatic but I will absolutely be returning to this salon! -also they were super clean and very cautious about COVID and COVID guidelines. Thank you all so much at Alter Ego. I’ve never been happier.

I just left there with one of the best blow out's I have ever had. I have naturally curly and thick hair (aka a pain in the butt to straighten.)I had bought the Groupon for a blow out and my stylist Nicole is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I explained to her how I had a terrible experience somewhere else where they destroyed my curly hair. That I would just put it up cause I didn't want to look at it anymore. Nicole was so sweet and knowledgeable she explained how I could fix it. I'm so grateful that she took her time I feel like a new person. This is my new permeant salon. Thank you so much for giving my hair life again.

I had a bad experience the color was bad way too dark and they don't allow you to blow your own hair dry had to leave on a freezing cold day with a wet head this was a few years ago but never forgot how bad I was treated and when the guy that colored my hair offered his blow dryer another stylist starting giving me dirty looks I didn't want him to get in trouble so I left

Took my 15 year old here for a hair cut on a recommendation. We were both super happy with the service and professionalism of her stylist Nicole. So much so that I decided to go back to see Nicole for myself today. I had a root touch up and Balayage along with a hair cut. She listened to exactly what I wanted and it came out fantastic. I couldn't be happier and I will definitely be going back. They are a little on The pricey side but it's worth it.

Nicole was my hair dresser and let me tell you she was amazing. She was just as excited as I was to get my hair colored midnight blue and she did a remarkable job. The other staff were also incredibly friendly and came up to me to make conversation with my boyfriend and I. I will definitely be coming back and will try to convince as many people as I can to come here
