I like the people at this pharmacy. Always helpful and friendly when I pick up my prescription, specially "bry" at the register

CVS shames you for not having American/State ID. The pharmacy here doesn’t seem to know that federal laws for controlled substances allow passports as a valid form of ID. Instead, inconvenienced by their system requirements, the pharmacists continually demand you to produce other forms of identification. They simply repeat to you that they need “state identification” or ask if you if you have an American passport—dumbfounded by the existence of people from elsewhere—an exceptionally American problem. This is not an issue of whether one can get another ID or not—which is also something pharmacists should not presume to know the reasons for not obtaining—this is a problem of fundamental principles & human relations. Passports allow people entry into nation states cannot be entered into their machine! The problem doesn’t exist beyond their machine, for the sake of which they are willing to make someone feel small for not having the requisite papers. It’s a real shame that no one has the foresight or awareness to actually compel a change or an exception to this rule at the higher levels.

I went today to 4108 Queens blvd Sunnyside NY CVS store to pick up my prescription,i had to deal with a man called John , which he was so rude in the 2 times i had to go there because he gave me hard time for the 1 st time and the 2nd time ( because of the prior authorization) too, he went to the back of the store letting me wait for nothing says the prior authorization takes a week to get approved,i said no i was told it was approved and prescription is ready for pickup!\nThen finally after 20 mins of waiting he cam back and said it was approved but i have to wait 30 mins!!\nAfter waiting he never came back to me ,i went to him i asked hi do i have wait he said in a very ugly rude was ,don come back to me go there for pick up! I said you didn't even let me know about that and i was waiting for nothing، then he said i am rude person \nI asked whim why are ou trying to act that way,he said because being rude is fun and pays well! (He said that in a loud voice in front of all the stuff, you could verify that!)\nThen i asked hin do they know here you are a rude person he\" yes i would be surprised if they don't know\"!!\nI said are you racist too he said\" yes i am racist\"!\nDo before taking any further legal steps,i thought i will have to let the cvs management know about that person who is never going to be a good image for cvs

Update--this is still the worst CVS ever and the worst drugstore in the area. They have a great location on QB, though, and no megastore competition at 40th or 46th stops on the 7 line. I try to never go. However, my regular local pharmacy, Bliss (QB @ 47th), couldn't get one drug so I had my prescription sent here. The store is still super messy, and out of lots of items -- in fact the two I was going to pick up today they didn't have. I walked to the back to the pharmacy counter and the gates were down. They're apparently closed for lunch 1:30-2:00. That wasn't noted in the multiple texts that CVS sent me about my medication. Joy.

Honestly this place is kind of a mess. It's convenient where the location is near the train stop. They have one singular line for both the self checkout and the regular checkout. When asked the employee was given nasty feed back. Needed an associate to unlock an item for me but there is no call for associate button to be found.

When I went to pick up my medicines, I was helped by Joya who advised me the cost would be $40.00 I told her this did not make sense as I was covered by insurance. I asked if she had my insurance information on file. At this point the Pharmacist, Amal who'd heard my rather emphatic exclamation, stepped in to help. She explained the register does not show my insurance status. Amal took my insurance cards and looked up my information. I was very happy that the process went as smoothly as it did. I am very impressed by the personal care offered by Amal and Joya. With the insurance properly updated, the total cost was $17.00 Of course, this is much more reasonable than the original cost. I was very impressed by the personal attention offered by both Amal and Joya. We all know computers need updating and we can't blame the machine for the old data. (Likely my fault!) Very glad to see the efficient, hard working and customer oriented staff at my local CVS!I went back to CVS on June 15th and found the Pharmacist, Amal to be just as helpful this time as before. This time she even resolved a credit card concern I'd had. To be equally adept at her technical tasks and these administrative concerns is truly impressive. I'm a big fan of CVS and their employees!

For the most part, I don't usually agree with bad ratings, but I have to say this is my least favorite CVS in NYC.It's always very busy so that definitely contributes to the hectic environment. This location is open 24 hours but the pharmacy is not. There is always a long line for the pharmacy so just be aware when picking up your prescription. I haven't figured out what the best time of day is yet to avoid the line.I tried ordering a photo printout here once and it was supposed to be 1 hour but I waited until the next morning and still hadn't gotten the order is ready notice. When I went inside they were extremely backed up and not very friendly about it so I don't recommend this location for photos. The self checkout is my preferred method for shopping. Also I definitely recommend becoming a CVS extracare member as they're always giving out great coupons so this is one perk I regularly take advantage of.

Worst CVS out there and that's saying a lot because most are awful. Pharmacy is a joke. Hangs up on you mid-sentence if they're not or can't talk over you. For somewhere that is supposed to help people with their healthcare - they don't give a toss about you or your meds. They are just there to collect a pay check and be rude because they can.

This CVS pharmacy has consistently been the worst I have ever experienced.Lines for perscriptions can be up to a half hour long. My perscription is a controlled substance and has a 3-day flex period for pick-up. Regardless of the day I get it refilled they treat me like I'm a drug addict and do everything in their power to not get me the thing I need to function. They are consistently out of my medication or refuse to give it to me.Do not use this pharmacy. Everyone I have talked to while waiting in line say the same thing and either dont have many other options or are looking for alternatives.I have recently signed up for a delivery service called Capsule and they are amazing. If your insursnce cocers them sign up asap. This place sucks and most he stuff are rude or generally unconcerned about your needs.I will never go to a cvs pharmacy again, and I'll be recommending that my friends and family do not as well.
