We stayed at this ranch resort this past weekend and were not impressed by the overall stay. If you are just looking for horse riding and possibly grabbing a drink from the saloon on site with its separate activities besides that you will not be impressed. We stayed on the grounds with food from the dining room included as well as one free horse riding session per day per guest and all gratuity included. Any extra rides we would be charged separately. There are no activities scheduled for the ranch besides what the saloon offers.
We had a horrible dinner experience our first night. We ordered the Beef Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli as well as the Grilled Chicken, Broccoli, and mashed potatoes. What we received was a brisket that was all fat, smothered in BBQ sauce, baked potato, and broccoli. The chicken dish was dry with a steak sauce/bbq sauce combo that was very salty, and received corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. The waitress who took our order asked us multiple times about our order and seemingly wrote it down on a pad but the orders still came out wrong. We had to go off site to find another place to eat before we settled for the night
The two outdoor pools were not cleaned and visually a sore to see as this is close to the dining hall and Saloon. One pool has green slime and disgusting water like it has not been cleaned for awhile. The other bigger pool just has not been cleaned within the matter of months or last season by the looks of it. There are multiple renovations happening throughout the entirety of the ranch and because of no property map on their website we were situated closer to the barn across the street. If we had known where cabins were situated, we would have picked something closer to the lake.
Sunday mornings breakfast was also a disaster as we found ourselves meeting the same waitress helping us as our first night. As we were checking out anyway and with our experience from the breakfast from Saturday we had hoped it wouldn’t be bad. We were wrong. We ordered a plain bagel with cream cheese and a sausage patty on the side (we received a non-sliced bagged warmed on the outside and cold inside, ranch dressing and a sausage patty), Egg Sandwich with scrambled eggs on an English muffin with Swiss cheese and home fries ( What we received was a cut English muffin not warmed, scrambled eggs cooked in grease and non seasoned home fries).
Horseback riding is the strength with the Red Dog Saloon and their activities following behind but anything else regarding the ranch needs to be revamped. We will not be suggesting this to anyone and have them look for somewhere else. I hope the renovations get completed soon because maybe it has a shot of becoming something more.

The cabins are up to date. The only reason I gave them a four was the fact that our cooling heating unit did not work. Now a little table and chairs or the addition of a dresser or desk would work, but not enough of a reason to go 4 stars on the room instead of 5. The food is good, but the greatest thing about 1000 Acres is definitely the staff. They are excellent attentive and very warm and friendly people. Definitely a great experience that I look forward to experiencing once again.

We just stopped for about 20 minutes to grab a drink and a snack at the Red Dog Saloon. It's right on the Hudson River. The Service was great and prices were very inexpensive.

This was a great batchor weekend. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Horseback riding was awesome. Enjoyed the fires on the beach and kayaking on the Hudson. Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay. The food left a bit to be desired but was still good. The rooms were definitely dated but we're clean and maintained. Had a late 80s early 90s vibe. They do have many newer looking cabins and are currently constructing I believe 5 more. So I'm certain not all the rooms are as dated as the one we were in. Unfortunately when we booked all the cabins were full already so we stayed in one of the lodges.

At 63, my son asked me to be the best man at his wedding which is such an honor but that meant I had to plan a bachelor party that included eight of us in total, with the next oldest after me, 30! My wife and I had been to a dude ranch in the Adirondacks with friends, well before we had children and I thought it might be fun. Well, we got back yesterday and I don't think I can say enough good stuff about this venue. The accommodations, food, and setting were all very good but the staff and owners were phenomenal!!! The riding sessions were a blast and if you go, I recommend "Creek" as the "go to" horse for true honest to goodness excitement. You also need to spend some quality time at the Red Dog Saloon, which is on-site, put a few beers back and then take a spin or two or eight on the mechanical bull!!! We all had an absolute blast and 1000 Acres Ranch made me look like I knew what I was doing!!! Thank you so much, despite the few aches and pains today!

I used to go every year in the 80s as a child and then I went back in 2023 & was not disappointed. It was just as amazing as I remembered.
Rooms: Loved that there was a bunk bed for the kids.
Walkability: You can walk to all parts of the ranch. Cabins to dining room to the River to the barn.

I took my family, dog included, to this magical ranch this past week. It was so worth the drive. We rented a beautiful cabin, enjoyed the accommodations and daily meals. The management and staff will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable - genuine, friendly, kind people. Beautiful outdoor pool, the lake is right there and they have all kinds of equipment for you to use. They also have a an activity guy that will drop you off further up the river to go to tubing. Horseback riding was magical - Wyatt and Kate were amazing on the trail. If you're looking for a place to bring your family and dog, go swimming in either an indoor or outdoor pool, go tubing on the lake, horseback riding, or just relax and meet great people this is the place to go.Thanks to all the staff and management for a great time. Looking forward to returning.

Girls weekend at the ranch. Relaxing, fun, and just an amazing time. We'll be back next year. The staff was great. Enjoyed the band in the saloon and some pool. We hope to ride the bull next visit. Fun loving people, wonderful owner who came and sat down with us to visit. The horses are well cared for and they have their best interest in mind at all times. We didn't get the faster ride for our experience in the last day because it had rained and it could be slippery. We still had a great ride and only had respect that the horses wellbeing was placed first before the patrons. Hats off to you!! We can't wait until next year!!

A great destination for the serious rider, the beginner and even a non-rider. So much to do to help you forget work and the city. Kate, Abed and their staff were created to care for people and make your stay better than your expectations.Rooms: All rooms are being upgraded from the ground up. beautiful rooms of the Hudson River right outside your door. ask for an upgrade to Eagles Point.Nearby activities: Great hiking outside of 1000 Acres plus Saratoga and Lake George very close.Noteworthy details: Owners are clearly spending big bucks to update every room. The farm is a nice addition to be part of farm to table.

This place is awful and the service is terrible. I saw cockroaches in the eating area and found hair in my food. One of the male staff members inappropriately talked to Amy niece.
