I love this Lowes store. Kat in the paint department has been helping us for 15 years. She always has the answers to our questions and all her recommendations are spot on. She knows everything about paint! She's the nicest and is so friendly. Tom in hardware has helped us out numerous times. He is so knowledgeable and also makes great recommendations for all our hardware needs. He is also very friendly and so pleasant to deal with. Both Kat and Tom are always ready to help and answer any questions with a smile. Maria and I think his name is Jason?, both are managers ; are so helpful with any problems you may have. Both treat you with respect and go the extra to make sure the customer is happy. Great store!

I found this store to be very useful, right up to the point where they started acting like we all steal from them. From the doors that are constantly warning someone walked through (with stuff they already paid for), to parking lot lights that block spaces, with the blue cop bulbs and speakers to blare out warnings, to yesterday. After having to self check-out my own purchases, that came to well over $100, an employee stopped me at the door and asked to see my receipt, twice.
I have been shopping at this store since the day they opened, I remember when they employed full-time and decently paid retired electricians in the electrical section, and retired plumbers in the plumbing section, and they were extremely helpful. And I continue to shop here even since that has been taken away. Never mind that they are trying to get rid of every last employee in the building, and keeping the ones that they have left at low pay, part-time. Never mind that when you call, it's a crap shoot if anybody will pick up the phone. Never mind that when you call their 800-number, it's bounced out of the U.S to wherever they outsourced their customer service to. Never mind they tell you all this is so you can get lower prices for your Chinese barbecue tongs and snow shovels...
But now, to be stopped by a barely adult employee, after being a Lowe's customer for maybe 20+ years, and spending tens of thousands of dollars over those 20+ years, like I was some kind of thief. And make no mistake, none of it was this kid's fault. He was directed by his supervisor, who was directed by the manager. He was probably given no training on what the law is. He was not told or made to understand that the moment you pay for something it becomes YOUR property, and you are under no obligation to prove it, or justify your possession of it to anybody. Not in the United States. It's built into the Bill of Rights, 4th Amendment. It's just the kind of disgraceful treatment that keeps me from going to Walmart, ever. Treated like a thief after spending hard earned money.
I know, just one man's opinion, and it is this. Disgusting, I will make a point of shopping at the local Ace hardware.

Went on a weekday to pick up some potted flowers. They had a nice selection. The staff was friendly, and checkout was quick.

I had a great experience at Lowe's in Stony Brook. When I noticed the item I wanted wasn't on sale anymore, the staff went above and beyond to help. I found a display with the sale sign still up and the customer adviser honored the sale price. I got the last one on sale! They were really nice and made sure I left happy. Excellent customer service. I'll definitely be coming back! It was a 50% off dewalt sale so it was an amazing deal!

What a huge disappointment with Lowe’s of Stony Brook, NY. I bought two new trash cans for 59.95 each and spent 20 minutes cleaning them off before leaving the store with them, they were filthy! When asked if there was any other stock available for the cans, I was told no and was offered paper towels and glass cleaner to clean them myself. I completely understand they are outdoor can’s yet they were so disgusting I was not putting them in my car the way they were. I expected more.

just wanted to say that this kid named John about 18yrs old helped us so much at lowes in stonybrook today on June 9th. I love the customer service here. He was so helpful with helping us find all out bath needs. Thanks again Lowes.

Hey Lowes. There is a scam going on using your name. I received a text telling me I won a $500 gift card. When I went to the Stony Brook store I was told it was a scam.

Return policy is 90 days. Do not try to return anything after 90 days. They will not take it back even though the items are unused, and the skull indicates you bought it there. Try to buy at Home Depot or elsewhere.

Staff is very helpful and courteous. I'm there too often for various home projects and everyone is welcoming and pleasant. No complaints here.

They're better than Home Depot in Setauket. They have better finish items for design and appearance. The customer service is a little bit better being more available to help you and they're nicer. The prices are slightly higher but my thought is you get more service if you need it and the store has a better flow allowing you to get in and out quickly hence they're worth a visit.

Everyone working there was very courteous and helpful..It was a pleasant change from other home improvement stores where you have to chase people down to help you.
