  If the mail carrier insists on leaving my mailbox open I'm going to install a spring hinge and he can deal with that. Tired of coming home to wet mail and/or retrieving it from the road. It's a brand new box with no functional issues.

  Mail is put in the wrong box on a daily basis. They refuse to deliver mail to houses and opt for a mail locker. For packages, they put the keys in the wrong box as well so you have to wait for your neighbor to check their mail, check the package box, and then hope they bring it to your house.
