Such an incredible experience, we were first greeted by the friendly bookstore kitty, Orson. And then Louise came out and greeted us with the hospitality of someone inviting family into their home. She then pointed out and explained all the different areas including a little gift shop with awesome clothes and knick knacks made my local artists. The books are for sale even though it appears to be a library and you are encouraged to pick up and touch all of the used books, and they are priced incredibly affordably. Definitely my favorite bookstore experience! Everyone should support this bookstore!!

This is by far the best bookstore I’ve ever been to. The owner is so kind and helpful and the shop itself is so beautiful. As a history and poetry enthusiast, the selection here is way beyond wonderful. The bazaar is amazing as well

Fabulous used bookstore and bazaar. Awesome proprietor, Louise, a Scottish native, welcomes you upon arrival. Great place with a variety of reading materials and all kinds of gifts to peruse including scottish tartan skirts. Check it out!

This shop is amazing honestly! Prepare to fill your car with affordable books. The owner is a delightfully friendly Scottish woman who genuinely cares about supporting her community and offers a fantastic selection at very fair prices. There is the main bookstore and another entry for vintage clothes and local artist goods. We will definitely be back! ?

Had a great time at this wonderful bookstore. On vacation and stumbled into this great business. The owner was so helpful and welcoming. We could have spent the whole afternoon there. There is a gift shop attached to the bookstore filled with all kinds of treasures. The owner told us about a food truck that would be there later in the day of course we stopped on our way back through at the end of the day and the food was great. We will definitely be going back next time we are in town

I went to Braveheart for the first time the other day, and it was absolutely lovely. Immediately upon entering, I was welcomed into the bookstore's warm atmosphere by the owner, the most kindhearted individual who is evidently passionate about both her shop and helping other aspiring small business owners/artists! I left with 5 books (for under $20!) but would've been just as satisfied with my trip even if I wasn't able to find anything—which is nearly impossible; there's something for everyone. I didn't make it into the bazaar, but I'll definitely have to check it out next time I visit!

I went here for the first time yesterday. The owner was probably the most pleasant person I've ever met. The bookstore and bazaar were safe spaces in a way we desperately need in the area. The prices were fantastic, the fact there were several artists clothing, art, etc in the bazaar was really cool, it feels great to be supporting a variety of locals showcasing their work.I literally cannot wait to go back!

This bookstore is so charming! From the shop owner herself, Louise, to the rambling gardens and sweet kitty ,Orson, , and the lollipops that you are encouraged to indulge in whether you purchase anything or not. We purchased a few choice albums that were on consignment from a shop on Lark St in Albany. Louise talked about some of her aspirations for the shop and the community, including an LGBTQ clothing swap, paint and sips, food trucks events and more! We enjoyed her enthusiasm for supporting local businesses and we plan to support this one ourselves !
