293 Van Duzer St, Staten Island“ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE STAFF AT THIS PLACE. JOE AND HIS DAUGHTER IVY WERE AND HAVE BEEN A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. THE SERVICE IS GREAT, AS WELL AS THE FOOD, AND THE PRICE. ONE SMALL ISSUE, THE CHAIRS ARE A BIT BEAT UP, BUT OTHER THAN THAT WE WERE GOOD TO GO.”

249 Richmond Valley Rd, Staten Island“Such an incredible night! This past weekend we threw our mother a surprise 60th birthday party at Ruby Falls, the owner Frank is amazing. Always answered our texts right away and was very hands on throughout the whole process with helping me and my sister. We will definitely be having more parties here! Highly recommend to everyone!!”

1000 Richmond Terrace, Staten Island“Really enjoyable little nature spot. We tried to go to the New York Chinese Scholar Garden, but I don't think it was open on the day we went. So that was slightly disappointing but it's still a really cool place to walk around and be in nature. Went this past summer and I forgot how cool and vibrant green the grass was! It was a hot July day, but the trees and greenery adds a bit of a cooling sensation. I would recommend (or just giving myself advice) visiting in the spring or fall, for sure.”
“What a treasure to have this carousel right here on Staten Island. The staff was so excited to see my 20 year old Multiple Ride Voucher (and yes, still good!). It was a $20 value for 20 rides back then, the current price is $50, it's a good deal if you have a few kids or visit the park frequently.
On that note...sad to say the adjoining playground is awefully rundown (maybe I'll do a separate review). Willowbrook Park is still nice for a stroll around the pond (or is it a lake..no swimming! And fishing requires a permit).
Back to the carousel....the ride is beautifully decorated with Staten Island landmarks and ride-on animals (both static and moving animals are available). The "ride-ons" include the traditional horses, wild animals, and a few fantasy creatures. If climbing is an issue there's an accommodating sit down feature with benches (not saddles).
Fair warning; there is a souvenir stand and ice cream treats freezer on the site. So if you have a child who "has to have or else" bring some extra cash (and napkins or wipes). Free baby tip: we brought a baby spoon from home (for the ice cream, and they don't have cups! On a stick variety or the sandwich kind) because I didn't wan't to use a plastic spoon (if they had?), sometimes those have sharp edges.
Parking near the carousel is limited. If the lot is full, drive past the carousel to the picnic side parking.
Anyway...go and enjoy!
(Look for the old ticket vouchers on display inside the ticket booth)”
“Fun and convenient. Very close to our neighborhood. They offer trainers and clinics for all ages. Our eight year old participates in the clinics and loves to go there recreationally as a family adventure.”
“Beautiful small museum. Impeccably kept and easy to explore and accessible. On the second floor, the Staten Island SEEN art exhibit was very good. From their website: “The exhibition traces the borough’s unique history and landscape from the 17th century to the present.”Plenty of parking right behind the museum. Lots of bathrooms. $8 entrance fee.”

“My 1st time at this theater but I won't rush to come back. It is a historic theater and although renovations had been done some VERY important 1s can't be done. I was walking with a cane after just having surgery on my leg. Foundout when arriving I'm in the mezzanine level. ALL STAIRS no elevator, not handicap accessible. Also parking is TIGHT if you aren't very early. The staff seemed friendly and we moved in quickly. Nice looking building.”
