Wow, my experience here has been absolutely disgusting. In fact present day i am still trying to get in touch with someone (no seriously im on hold right now lol ) and i am unable too! I did my 2019 & 2020 tax returns here. Not only did they leave my business in the negative profit margins completely hindering my ability to purchase a property without properly informing me of this - it actually appears like THEY NEVER EVEN FILED MY TAXES i have received a number of letters stating that , my 2019 & 2020 taxes are in question! When i originally was referred i was excited assuming I’d finally have some real financial guideance from TRAINED AND PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE… i can show tons of emails where someone says they have COVID , someone else died .. I’ve had zero updates but tons of excuses as to why i still have no solutions… 6 minutes on hold … at this point im about to meet with a legal advisor if i am paying fees and penalties i think this firm needs to be reviewed for negligence .. breach of contract … negligent hiring !! This is literally horrible ! I can attach emails where I’ve requested assistance time and time again !!! Everyone happily charged me for services but didn’t complete them !!! Update it’s almost July 2024 and i still haven’t got a call from anyone here !!

On February 19, 2024, I submitted my W-2 forms to The Taxman for tax preparation. Over the past three months, I have repeatedly called to get an update and to speak with someone about my taxes. Every time, I was told that someone would call me back, but no one ever did. The lack of communication and follow-up has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. I am very disappointed with the service and would not recommend The Taxman to anyone.

My husband and I have been coming to Tax Man since James' father, George was running the business. We had top notch service with his dad, so when he passed and James took over, we were a bit reluctant. We are SO GLAD we stayed, and honestly, we have been getting the same level of service (if not better!) that we were used to. James is amazing, and will remain our tax guy. We moved states and will still be sending James our tax info to file for us. LOL!!! Good CPAs are hard to come by, and when you find them, you do whatever it takes to keep 'em. Highly recommend you give James at Tax Man a try if you're looking for excellent service. You won't regret it.

Unbelievable! Paid $300 for taxes, brought entire family to them, and they want to charge me $20 for a copy of my taxes, or just to give me the figure on line 37 for my sons financial aid app!!!! And charged my kids who do not even make so much $300? I thought there was something about low income $50 charge or something but whatever.....Crazy to charge for a copy after you pay that kind of fee for simple taxes, not even crazy involved. WOW talk about a racket...soo not worth it

Taxman is the best. There’s no place better to go. Staff friendly and responsive to any of my tax questions. Highly recommend. James Carapella is very knowledgeable, personable and there’s no one better to do your taxes.

Magnificently magnificent. I have been going to them for years. I will never change. Always the nicest and accommodating place to me and my family. Never had an issue ever. Friendly staff and always helpful. I highly recommend. Had issues with previous places and accounts, never had an problems or concerns. Literally the best tax service ever☆☆☆☆☆

I have been going to Tax Man for many years, and they continue to offer professional, courteous engagement. When Mr. Carapella passed away I was saddened. He was always gracious in his explanation, tax concerns, queries etc... I was concerned this kind of professionalism could change, NOT at ALL! The new staff and senior staff maintain the same level of professionalism to the practice. The have remained steadfast, even when my life hit hard times, and filing status changed, they literally held my hand and walked me through the changes and appeals to the IRS etc... I am grateful and can't imagine using anyone else for my income tax needed and services!

I overpaid by 5k last year. I am so glad they couldn’t get me in this year and I went to someone else. I never would have caught the mistake. This is the second time they forgot to enter my dependent credits. I am done with this place and so is the guy who recommended them to me in the first place. We both used them for over a decade. What a shame. It’s not the same place anymore.
