I have been going to sals since they first open and I am so glad that they’re here. Between work and taking care of my father it is hard for me to get to the store. Even if the order is small, Sal delivers anything to my house. One day I forgot my mozzarella and they even delivered that! The prepared meals make my life so much easier since I don’t have to cook!!!! The cooked food is excellent as well as the meat. The deli guys are so helpful and always go the extra mile . The cashiers are wonderful and Are always super friendly

Where do I begin? Let’s start off with the good. The store is very clean and well laid out. Some of the choices are sparse. It would be nice to have more than one type of any given product on the shelves. The meats look fantastic. Probably some of the best looking butchered meat I’ve seen in a long time.Now the bad....The staff is downright nasty. There is a very heavyset young man in the front of the store that is always on his phone. There is also a nasty girl that runs the register. I feel like I’m doing them a favor every time I go I to this store. The butcher himself is even word-less. It feels like a funeral when you walk in here other than when the workers are arguing with themselves. The last straw for me was when I bought some prepared food that was substandard. I called and asked if I could return it and was told there were no other complaints and that it was non-returnable. From now on, I feel like I’m better off going to the supermarket and buying their related items. At least I’m treated like a customer.P.S. whoever runs this shop should have the workers off their cell phones and have the kid in the front stop smoking constantly.

FIRST OFF... I have gone to this place for lunch 4 days a week for months. This place is great. They make anything when you ask for it even if it isnt cooked yet. The owner is so nice. The cash register girls are amazing. I cannot believe there are bad reviews except for the fact of miserable people that complain about common mistakes that can be made in any business. Disappointed. If I could upload a picture of the sandwich I would. I dont mind spending $9 for a hero, but when theres about 7 pieces of prosciutto and 2 pieces of mozzarella and you taste the bread more than the meat theres a problem wrong with the sandwich. My sandwich weighs about the weight of a notebook. Disappointed will go back to Montalbanos for Sandwiches.

They catered my office Christmas party at Knickerbocker Village meatballs tasted like mothballs, gave me and 30 other co workers food poisoning just in time for the holidays!!!Took 2 weeks to finally feel normal again!!!Avoid at all costs!!!

This place catered a party at my job knickerbocker village in the city this Wednesday for Christmas and the food was undercooked not good and gave over 30 workers food poisoning!

I love Sal's. Its so convenient and their selection of meats is excellent. They also have really good prepared foods.
