Their chocolate is some of the best I’ve ever tasted! I don’t even like candy apples, but I tried one from this store I even loved that. Everyone was so friendly also. I will definitely be back!

This hidden gem is a local small business candy shop, originally from Coney Island and thriving in Staten Island for two decades. Their enduring success is evident in the delightful array of homemade, meticulously crafted candies. Whether you prefer assortments by the pound, half, or quarter, the options are abundant. During my spontaneous visit, I picked up a delightful mix, with the cherry cardinals and mixed fruits stealing the spotlight. Don't miss out on their fan-favorite chocolate-covered strawberries. Beyond delectable treats, supporting this small business means contributing to the community--a shopping goal we should all embrace. Additionally, they offer catering options for those looking to add a sweet touch to their parties.

Hear the sad news of the passing of John RIP sir . Every time I made a trip back to the old neighborhood I stopped by with my kids for a treat and John was there as always . The only place I ever found outside of Philip's was Candy Kitchen of Madeira beach Florida that was on the same page as John and Phillip's candy

This place is a blast from the past. Miss out on the 50's then come here and be surrounded by homemade candy delights. My favorite is the marzipan dipped in chocolate. They only make it in the winter. The chocolate and peanuts is delish too.

This is a hidden gem. Great chocolate covered fruits, nuts, etc. at great prices. We've ordered trays for parties several times. They are always friendly and helpful. It's family owned and operated and I get the feeling that I'm stepping back in time just a bit whenever I go there.

Listen, I don't really ever remember calling it Phillips candies it was always Coney island treats to me, probably the best old-fashioned candy you'll find in a 80 mile radius. It's honestly slept on if you don't go and try them you're missing out, many childhood favorites there, I plan on buying my children chocolate covered pretzels and marshmallows for the parade like my father used to. Honestly it's a rant eating some leftovers but y'all missing out

As a child, my mother would take my sisters and I to Coney Island (like her father did for her) and we would get candied apples and red licorice shoe laces. When we went and found they were closing, it was a very sad thing for us.We moved to Staten Island and found they had moved here as well. The candied apple are still delicious, as well as the shoe laces.Almond and cashew marshmallow balls are one of my favorites.Egg creams to die for.Prices you can't beat on delicious treats.Always a satisfied customer!

This semi hidden gem, is a blast from the past. Originally from Coney Island (Luna Park), they made the move to Staten island years ago, and have been here handing out delicious candy that most love, but can't find on the shelves anymore. This is the place you can go, to get arguably the BEST EGG CREAM ON THE PLANET, (meaning if you disagree I'm arguing), and find candy shoe laces, beside the Mary Janes, along side of the most delectable fudge I've ever experienced. So, if you were a fan of the place as a kid, and wonder what happened to them, know they are alive, well, and still bringing the same amazing flavors and candies to date.
