As soon as Shadow met Ashley it was all over ? Shadow will never go to anyone but Ashley. She was so in tune with Shadow and so patient: Really Impressed ! We received 20% off for first time. She was able to work with me patiently and calmly to solve my issues with my order. I felt very well taken care of during my return and checking out. I was very pleased to have her take care of me and she did so after someone began the transaction, but had to go to lunch. She listen to me and was able to handle all the difficult issues that occurred. If I could, I would give her a 10!!!

I’ll never know how they get my crazy Pomsky to sit for photos, but they do. All of the employees are so amazing with the dogs. I brought two of my bearded dragons here (bless their souls) and my beautiful Sulcata Tortoise here and she’s taken good care of them and shares the same passion for exotics and reptiles like I do. She isn’t the typical arrogant Doctor that claims to know it all, she isn’t afraid to tell you she doesn’t know something and she’ll do a lot of research to give you the right information about how to treat your animal. She is also very affordable compared to other vets I went to. She is definitely my go to whenever one of my reptiles get sick, I wish I can give her 10 stars!!

Astarbi In-Home Veterinary Care
255 Vineland Ave, Staten IslandDr Astarbi was my vet for over 10 years. I had four dogs at one time and he took care of all of them. Of the 4 , two were put to sleep comfortably in my house surrounded by those who loved them. He is very professional, always gave me a call back and a lot of advice over the phone. I had one dog with Addisons disease. He took care of Bella until she passed away at a ripe old age of 15, usually adisonian dogs don’t live that long. She didn’t have many episodes but when she did Dr Astarbi helped her get back on track. I miss my girl Bella and my boy Giacomo so much. I moved to Florida and he sent me my dogs records. I miss him and Steve. I cannot find and caring vets here, what a shame. Dr Asarbi is very down to earth ,funny, personable and honest and always gave me good advice. I would get my dogs teeth cleaned every year with dr astarbi. Not one problem at all. I wish I could find someone here on the same caliber but I cannot. Dr Astarbi is highly recommended, you won’t regret having him as your long term vet. I hope you are going well, trinket and pia say hello!

I did (post visit) have, and still do have, one concern and that is his practice of mixing two different vaccines in the same injection. I learned later that most veterinarians do not like that at all since one vaccine may reduce the effectiveness of the other. So if he comes to your house and your animal needs more than one vaccine, you might want to discuss this with him.

75 Ellis St, Staten IslandI adopted my puppy in 2022 and started her training at PetSmart. As I got to know my puppy better, I decided she'd make a great Therapy Dog. While investigating HOW to become a Therapy Dog Pair, I was introduced to The Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club. This amazing group of caring and helpful (mostly volunteers) have helped both me and my dog learn how to work together. She is now a Certified Canine Good Citizen (after completing the Beginner II class) and we are now a Certified Therapy Dog Pair (after completing the Therapy Dog Training class) with The Bright and Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc. Since that time, I've become a member of the club and we've taken Agility For Fun. There are loads of continuous learning courses as well as competition classes if you and your dog are so inclined. They serve and understand all breeds ESPECIALLY mixed breeds and help teach owners how to manage behavior without damaging the spirit. I've learned alot and look forward to learning more. I highly recommend this club whether you just want to learn how to have a well-behaved dog or you want to train to compete.

174 Sand Ln, Staten IslandMy wife and I recently adopted a dog that we found while traveling. Unfortunately the dog experienced some trauma that resulted in behaviors that we were unfamiliar with. After a day of having the dog in our possession, we began to deal with some unexpected issues and we needed immediate help. My wife came across Vinny’s website, reached out, and we got a call back from him right away. Vinny spent about 30m on the phone, assessed the situation, and offered us some pointers on how to manage the problems. Before hanging up, I offered to compensate him for his time and he declined to accept anything; this selfless gesture was all that I needed to know to determine whether he was the person that we needed–it wasn’t because he didn’t want to accept any money, it was because he was willing to take the time to speak with us and explain the inner workings behind what we were experiencing. About a month later, we hired Vinny to begin some one-on-one training with our rescue. Vinny came to our home and spent almost two hours with us. Throughout the two hours, Vinny showed us how certain behaviors (ours and the dogs) enabled specific responses, and he offered us guidance on whether some of those behaviors were favorable or not. It was amazing to watch how Vinny was able to get our rescue to behave in a favorable manner within minutes. Vinny made the best use of the time and transitioned the training from indoors to outdoors, focusing on our rescues triggers, and guiding us on how to avoid these triggers. We absolutely have every intention to hire Vinny again and we highly recommend that anyone reading this review to not have any second guesses and engage Camp Ruff Ruff in their services.

Their spring rolls, sandwiches and tacos are delicious and fresh. The pho soup is hearty and filling, but I wish they had more topping options like bok choy or some vegetable. The owner is very friendly and on multiple occasions, has brought me some chips and sauce while I waited for my takeout order. She is very accommodating and has definitely earned my trust as a return customer.

On A Roll tonight for the first time . I am blown away , I didn’t think it would compete with R&R but not only did it I found every item I purchased better . The roast beef I got dry on purpose with gravy and extra cheese. iOS in the side . Their roast beef dry with no added gravy stood on its own , it was extremely moist and when I ate it it actually tasted like roast beef . What I mean the taste of the beef wasn’t masked by globs of cheese and onions , I actually tasted the beef perfectly , I believe their roll is better then the competitors which allowed the flavor of the beef to be tasted perfectly , their corn fritter again was better , they were a little larger and their was no uncooked batter like I usually taste at R&R . The shrimp box was perfectly cooked , large shrimp that were extremely tasty , the cocktail sauce however wasn’t my favorite it was good but more vinegar based than horseradish which I prefer . The fries were larger circles than the other place and were cooked more crispy and more enjoyable , their cheese sauce to dip them was perfect what you would expect . All in all I find on the roll to be the winner between THEM AND ROLL N ROASTER. I can care less about the cheesy nostalgia debate . I also found it more affordable. Roll n roasted is good but OTR is better , RNR does have amazing orangeade good apple pie and clam strips .
I also have eaten at John’s deli to many times , Brennan and Carr and they are both amazing but are too different to compare to OTR , they are totally different eating experiences . John’s deli has gone down hill a lot also since new owners , their roast been is so small and measly for $20 now , they even charge $4 for a medium gravy now as well other then the roast beef it’s average at best food . Brennan and Carr is amazing and totally different , everything there is top notch , it has been there over 100 years so they are doing everything perfect . But you have to be in the mood for it as it’s way different . OTR is my new all around favorite beef stop , it has a limited menu but it’s perfect , everything you get is way above average , dare I say the best
