Disappointed. It is clean and comfortable, thankfully. Good location for seeing New York and not spending a fortune.
But the service was really not very good at all. Though not the fault of staff, there was a water leak that shut down the laundry room and guest ice maker. The sign posted listed info for the closest laundromats and said to talk to the front desk if you need ice. When I went to the front desk they said “sorry, can’t help you with ice.” No effort made to make this an option for guests.
Weekend breakfast is supposed to go until 9:30 am. We got to the lobby at 9:10 am and many items were gone with zero effort to replenish them by staff. Milk gone, pancake maker out of batter, plastic utensils were out, etc.
Front desk is often unattended. They seem to be minimally staffed. Sometimes there is a sign up letting you know they have stepped away. Other times, you just stand there and wait around to see if someone will come to staff the desk. Went to the front desk because our room needed TP. Waited 10 minutes and finally called and rang through to the front desk and someone came.
Not the level of service normally experienced at military lodging. Not sure what is going on here, but it’s not for the better.

My Family and I had a wonderful stay at the Lodge, the hospitality was awesome, the Staff was friendly. We experienced one issue which was resolved immediately! Several of the Guests Ladies and Management went above and beyond to meet our expectations. We will definitely return in the near future!

We stayed at Navy Lodge in March. When we checked in we saw that we might be able to see the ocean. Gani was nice enough to offer us seeing a room before we even got our room keys to see if it's what we wanted. The customer service was SO good. Everyone had a smile and were so accommodating. We would definitely stay again! We already have our names down for returning in summer, for one of the townhouses. Definitely recommend!

I stayed on the 1st floor. Very noisy between dogs barking and people talking in front of your door. Couldn’t get any sleep past 7am. Other than that clean and good customer service.

I used to work close by and would stay here occasionally. This was many years ago and I am much older and have difficulty climbing stairs and into old style bathtubs. After all these years this place is still non-ADA compliant with no elevator or walk-in showers. Bathrooms are not set up for individuals with disabilities. Otherwise, they are very clean and safe away from The "Old" NYC areas, where you have to be careful, etc.

Navy Lodge for the win!!! Clean, quiet and economical. Plus, Dee was a joy. She made sure our room was clean and fully stocked. We will definitely return during our next NY vacation.

Your website is broken, won't let people enter a credit card number. That field is not present. This prevents online reservations completely! You need to get your IT folks to fix it, especially since your phone specialists are now overwhelmed with phone calls.

I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the room was very clean, linens were fresh, slept like heaven and so very appreciative of the staff. Friendly, welcoming, felt like I was staying at home away from home. Although you could hear something’s in the hallway come and go it was very quiet. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here for 5 nights in November 2023. The reception staff are very nice, helpful and wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable, I could eat breakfast, and I could drink coffee and water from morning until night. However, they don't clean the room or change the towels until the fourth night, so they don't do anything after the fourth night, and the trash can is full and the towels are gone after the fourth night. At the end of my patience, I wanted to change it, so I went to get a towel. The bed sheets could be the same for the 4 nights, but I wanted them to be cleaned every day. I guess I should have gone and borrowed some cleaning supplies so I could clean it myself. The drain in the bathtub was not flowing well from the first day, and when I looked into the drain, I found that it was clogged with hair, and after I removed it, it started flowing again. When cleaning, I think it's a good idea to look carefully at the end of the drain as well.
It was a good lodge that was convenient and affordable for sightseeing in New York, thank you very much.

This is our 3rd Navy Lodge to stay at and what a great experience and comfortable place to stay. The staff were awesome and the room was comfortable. And the view of the bridge couldn’t be beat!It was a little far from New York City and expensive to take an Uber to, but a great experience. Would definitely stay here again!
