Nice golf courses. The intersection to cross over to the other side of the course is slightly annoying, but overall very enjoyable!

Great and Bad news. Bad news first. They Players Club is gone. However, American Golf is NOT running La Tourette and South Shore any longer. Expecting both courses to improve big time..

No more players club in 2024. Why pay full rate for a substandard golf course? Better off going to New Jersey now.

Of the 3 public courses on Staten Island, LaTourette is in better than excellent condition.. Greens are well manicured... The rough is about 2 inches long and was being mowed today... Fairways are smooth too ...Tee boxes a bit banged up, but still has plenty of sod.... and the deer are playing happily !!!An AmericanGolf property, it's the best of them all....

Poorly run course. Need more players club times for what they charge.

Golf Course is a great test of golf. They have a driving range that is the equivalent of hitting balls is the parking lot. For some reason the range is constantly busy. Maybe it's time to out some serious money into the range.I go to New Jersey to hit balls at a range. This place is a waste of time and money.

Course is in decent shape although the tee boxes could be better. Usually very crowded having to wait to tee off at each hole and having a group playing right up behind you.The driving range requires you to bring your own mat otherwise you are hitting off of a concrete slab with a thin piece of green felt over it. When I was getting my range balls I was wondering why I saw some people carrying practice mats, after getting to the stalls I soon learned why.La Tourette is an easy to get to course and I will occasionally still play there but it could use a little maintenance.

Scheduled a golf round a few days in advance. Get to the golf course and they tell us it is going to be a 30 minute wait because they allowed a large group to show up and do a shotgun start. They backtracked and ended up saying we do not know when you will be able to go out. Ended up having to find a different golf course. Do not recommend, the pro shop guy also didn’t care and was not helpful.

Mid-Island Staten Island is home to 120,000 residents and in the middle of it sits public parkland, dedicated mostly to this publicly-run golf course. That makes this park off limits for any sort of recreational park use. Only those who pay to golf may use it. When it snows, they let families run sleds down the hills, but that’s the extent of the exceptions to the golf course usage rules. It is a classic story of classism where the local residents have accepted the status quo. Convert the golf course to recreational park land!

Of course what Jonathan missed is that the golf course is a public course which is just a minority part of a much larger park -not close to “most of it”. There are far, far larger green spaces surrounding the golf course. But don’t let that stop you from complaining about “classism” or somesuch, even though most of the golfers are/were firefighters, city workers and the like. Places like this make it affordable for them to golf. But you be outraged for the people!

Always is good condition however the parking areas are disgusting. Be careful not to ruin your cars undercarriage . Been this bad for the past 20 years. You would think American Golf would fix .

The range needs some serious TLC, and you need an off road vehicle with high clearance to park in the main unpaved lot. Otherwise the course is not bad and it's not as pricey as other courses.

Nice track, some tee boxes need some TLC but overall great course
