Requested to cancel my current membership and re-join at a lower black friday rate. They failed to cancel my old account and was double charging me for months. I go in and was told the operations manager (Nathaniel) doesn't work on weekends so I needed to go back Mon-Fri 9-5. Called off half a day of work to get this settled and walked in at 9am on Mon only to wait for Nathaniel to stroll in at 9:45am with an attitude. Acknowledged that I have two active accounts and have been double charged and zero activity on one of them since Nov. I requested a refund for the charges that were doubled since Nov. He just glares and says "there's nothing to refund, you have two accounts, why do you have two accounts?" Nathaniel is the worst possible manager you could hire for any place. He is rude and obnoxious and many friends who go there will agree with me.

Its a corporation gym. You should know what to expect. It gets the job done. However they have like 6 stair steppers and only two work? What? Why? Sauna is broken? What? And no one puts the weights back. Most of the girls in the kids club are very caring though likE Ashley and blonde Sofia. Wonderful girls.

Best decision I’ve ever made was joining LA Fitness to help me on my health and fitness journey. The GM Haz was super helpful and knowledgeable in helping me find a training program that fit my needs and my trainer Mark is incredible. He’s helped me both inside and outside the gym with different workouts and nutrition. Cannot this place enough!

Great facility, only downfall is the people they hire for the front desk are not it. They are so quick to jump down your throat and have bad attitudes. they need solid training in customer service especially since they are the first faces you’re seeing when you enter the gym.

I went to cancel my membership today. The Manager that came to help me was showing me attitude for no reason. He was rolling his eyes on me. If you are unhappy with your job just quit. Why are you showing an attitude toward the customer?

The cancellation process is extremely inconvenient. You have to go in person to cancel your membership. There is only one person on the staff that can do this process and he is not in the facility at all times. It took me three tries before I was actually able to cancel my membership. Cancellation took less than 2 minutes which felt like a complete waste of my time. I waited longer for the man to come in. It should be able to be done over the phone and the entire front desk staff should all be trained to do the cancellation process

I am a member of LA Fitness nation wide and been to many different locations all over the country and I love all about them but this particular location for some reason has very poor management. The free weights are a total mess, nothing is on its place. You never can find the weight you need, it’s either misplaced somewhere in the gym or lost completely. I mean how hard it is to organize weights for management and put the sign on to keep it in order??? Seriously, no one cares there? It’s almost impossible to find the right weight. Also, sauna been out of service for half a year.

The guy that opens in the morning a half an hour before he’s supposed to is the only good thing about this gym. Customer service however leaves a lot to be desired. Nathen with the dreadlocks is rude and would be shanked in prison.

Gym is terrible. Don’t waste your time or money there. Everything is out of service there from their stair-masters to the water fountains. Management doesn’t care one bit when you bring up the ongoing issues there. An absolute joke to label this a “signature club”.

I had the pleasure of interacting with Kledis, an employee at the gym, and I must say that my experience was absolutely fantastic. Kledis truly exemplifies what excellent customer service should look like, and I couldn't be more pleased with the assistance he provided. From the moment I walked into the gym, Kledis greeted me with a warm and welcoming smile. He immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease, which is especially important for someone like me who may have been a bit nervous about starting a fitness journey. Kledis demonstrated an exceptional level of knowledge about the gym's facilities, equipment, and programs. He took the time to patiently answer all of my questions. His expertise not only made me feel more confident about my workouts but also inspired me to set more ambitious goals for myself. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking assistance with their fitness journey. His exceptional customer service, knowledge, and dedication to helping others make him a standout employee who deserves recognition and appreciation.

The newest LA Fitness on Staten Island. Great facility with a sauna, steam room, a pool and turf. It started out fantastic, but its starting to go downhill. Missing and damaged equipment. Sauna has been out of service for months. Some machines are clearly broken or missing padding and hasn’t been fixed in months. I want to love this gym so much, but maintenance needs to be better.

Gym started out as a nice friendly environment but i feel like they quality of the people that come here have gone downhill. The people that come here have no class. They like to start arguments in the parking lot, they like to hog machines and say they’re using it when in reality they’re just meandering. And management here is completely useless enforcing machine rules but know exactly when to give you a hard time. Not to mention, things are always falling apart and takes forever to fix.

For 2 years they charged my credit card twice, called them many times and was told that is not true. I called the headquarters and they found out that I had 2 accounts and that is the reason to charge me twice, and blaming me that is my fault for 2 accounts, not theirs. They are going to give me credit for a year but not for two. What a disgrace. It took them a year to open the swimming pull, saying that they are waiting for city inspection. Did inspectors had to come from a space? It took them a year.Jacuzzi worked for short period of time and not working anymore. Again, do inspectors from the space have to come and fix it. A steam room half of the time doesn't work. Dressing cabinets a dirty, never been cleaned.Would never, never recommend anybody.

This LA Fitness is awesome, the customer service was exceptional especially Kledis he helped me out a number of times with the machines I wasn’t familiar with. Get your journey started here ask for Kledis!
