A few months ago, I left a five-star review about this salon. Then I had my second appointment. I asked for lots of layers and even showed the stylist, who owns the salon, a picture of myself from two years ago when I had gotten the best layers of my life. What the stylist did instead was cut lopsided layers that couldn’t hold a curl. Such a botched job from someone in the hair business for so long. And the parking situation in two words: extremely difficult.

First Impressions has been my go to place for a few years now. The staff is so friendly and warm, they greet me with happy faces all the time. Everything is well organized and clean. All hair services are reasonable and affordable. I was nervous about getting extensions and the damage it may cause my hair, but Tony was very patient in answering my all questions and helped me understand the process, different styles, hair textures, colors and aftercare. He did an amazing job they look so natural and feel like my own hair and are easy to maintain. I’m obsessed with my hair and have received so many compliments. For those of you considering extensions I highly recommend First Impressions. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the quality of work they provide.

Zana is my go to at 1st Impressions, she is amazingly talented and does amazing color, cuts and blow drys. She also cuts children's hair, she cut my daughters hair wonderfully and it is growing out beautifully layered. Zana is very welcoming, kind and sweet. Everytime I see her it's like I'm catching up with a dear friend. She makes you feel comfortable and gives great advice. Zana is a treasure at 1st Impressions!!!

I have been going to Dori for many years. She is an incredibly talented professional, she is super accommodating and an all around amazing person. I am so grateful for her talent, expertise and friendship. I go to her for both color and haircuts and she always guides and supports me to be the best version of myself. I highly recommend her if you want an incredibly talented and kind person guiding you.

Vanessa has been doing my hair for over 25 years! I married and moved to Jersey and I will still always use Vanessa and make the trip to Staten Island. First Impressions really is family and everyone is so talented and experienced. But Vanessa is my girl….FOREVER!!! She’s beyond amazing, and the comfort of being able to sit down not say a word and walk out looking like a rockstar is priceless!!!

I always go to Zana for a blowout and a haircut. She always does An amazing job with my hair. I always get compliments after getting my hair done by her. She’s so accommodating and sweet as well. I’ll always go to Zana for my hair. I highly recommend her..you won’t be disappointed!

This was my first time at 1st impression hair salon and with some recommendations i wanted to get highlights for the first time in my life! Let me tell you ZANA was the Best hair stylist ever! She was going above and beyond with everything! Made me so comfortable with the process specially coloring your hair for the first time! She gave me a beautiful Butterfly Haircut as well in the end! The rest of the crew was very friendly and professionalI highly recommend this placeAnd she definitely got a new customer!
