I just joined this gym and already I’m in love..there’s so much space to work out comfortably.they have all the equipment I need and even new equipment I’ve never used before that gives me the perfect edge of having an effective workout. So far I haven’t had to wait long to use any of the machines and everyone is so nice. Greatest part is I have access to a high-end gym for such a great low price.!

Decent gym. Has everything you need to get a great workout. Steam room and sauna are always running and hot. Equipment is repaired rather quickly and the staff is friendly. Just lately it’s been dirty. Mainly the men’s locker room. People leave empty water bottles and clothes in lockers for days on end so obviously staff doesn’t clean them. The sauna works great but it’s yucky. For the price it’s a good gym and u get a lot. Just keep your shoes on.

They close at 10pm Monday-Thursday and on Friday at 9pm. When I first joined they would close at 11pm Monday-Thursday and 10pm on Friday. They also raised the price which is stupid since they close earlier. Would not recommend now better gyms for same price on Staten Island.

The staff have ALWAYS been awesome people ?. The gym itself has improved so much within the passed 9 years that I’ve been going. Adding an additional floor has been a game changer for this gym and I love it!!

I have been a member since the gym opened in 2015. Good value for the price! Mark is a spectacular trainer, unlike some others who are on their phone texting while training. Why is that even allowed? The only problem is # of machines that are not maintained and left needing a fix for weeks or even months. Why charge a $40 maintenance fee and not even maintain the gym properly?Update: the hydro massage machine is almost always not functioning properly and the weights are almost never put in place, several members are also misusing the cables slamming the weights. I have also noticed chalked up dumbbells and barbells left uncleaned. I have emailed management and have also spoken to them in person but didn't see change or response. The class schedule is also not updated leaving many of us confused. This gym could be so much better if just a few basic things were maintained.Update 1/10/2021The class studio room is very inconsistent with temperature. Sometimes freezing cold with door/window open and sometimes both closed with heat on. Hard to dress accordingly. Also no wipes in class or outside in the evening time. Much needed for safety because of pandemic. Have also noticed the studio floor left uncleaned many times. There is no control of people walking into class and disrupting it. Why not lock the class door after class starts like other Crunch locations?Update 1/23/22 We have had consistent interruptions during classes. People just walk in and interrupt the class about 3-4 times per class in the evenings. Phones have gone off during class with no one even bothering to turn them off. Why are the doors left unlocked during classes? Other crunch locations lock them.Update 8/12/22 Its almost 80 degrees in the studio class room during peak summer heat. Hydro massage bed still hasn't been fixed. One is completely out and the other barely works. There are still constant interruptions during classes with people walking in and interrupting the class.Update 11/15/22 Hydro massage is finally fixed but it overheats and shuts down if used back to back with diff people. Classes are still regularly interrupted by walk-ins. Come on guys. How hard is it to enforce this simple rule?Update 2/25/23 hydro massage chair is out of service again ?♂️. Yoga instructors are forced to play music during class by the manager because one person complained. One of the purpose of yoga to gain mindfulness and with constant audio stimulation it beats the purpose. There is also a safety hazard because it's hard to hear the instructor in the back when music is playing especially for new attendees that can injure themselves.Update 5/20/23 hydro massage chair reeks off sweat. Barely functional, leaks water, and shuts down before the session ends.Update 9/9/23 Dumbbells are always a maze. No enforcement to put the weights back in place. Poorly maintained equipment and no restocking of paper towels in basement. We still get interrupted by randoms walking in during class and disrupting us.

I work in Manhattan and therefore have to go to the gym at 5am on the weekdays. Since I have a long commute, every minute of my workout from when the gym opens counts. There have been several days now where myself and other members have had to wait outside for almost half an hour before being let into the gym. We call the front desk and no one answers. That is a huge waste of time for those of us who need it.My schedule doesn’t permit me to go to the gym in the evening, where it is also difficult to use equipment because it becomes very busy. Please look into why there have been issues opening the gym at 5am. Thank you.Edit: 06/22/2023 — Myself and many other morning gym members have waited outside from 5am-5:30am so far. Still, nobody has come outside to let us in, and the lights appear to be off. It is unclear if the gym is even open, but there is no sign indicating this, and none of us got email alerts. I usually have to leave by around 6:15am, so I officially cannot workout now and have to go home. Many of us who waited have chosen to go home.Edit: 07/08/2023 — Today is a Saturday morning when the gym is supposed to open at 7am. Currently, there is a long line of members waiting outside. Marta, one of the personal trainers, informed us that the gym will not open for another half hour or so. It would be courteous to at least let members know of any delays.—I’m leaving my review of this gym as 3 stars because it is otherwise great. I love the staff, it is huge, great equipment selection, and affordable. Please look into this, I appreciate your time.

I just want to express my disappointment towards the service encountered at Crunch Fitness - Staten Island.. I went there with a friend of mine who is not member but I am already a member of the gym, i been training here for over a year and there is a three day trial so I took my friend . When we got there the guy at the door was very rude and denied us access saying that my friend needs to have a S.I.D even when we want to pay for the 1 day access . I am not sure what kind of establishment treats their patrons. You need to hire better customer service employees otherwise you will be seeing lots of people leave .. I hope you guys look into these kinds of issues. I will make sure all my friends know about this !

Honestly one of the best gyms I’ve been to in all of NYC. Staff and customer service is amazing, respectful, and even members are cool. As a woman, I don’t have to deal with weirdos in here, which is also nice. I think that has a lot to do with the culture created by gym employees too, so thank you. Generally love going here!

The gym itself is pretty nice and decent. However, due to signing up for OrangeTheory as well, I began going to OTF more often and didn't need Crunch. I tried cancelling back in March via the website (there's a form to cancel) and was told that that form does not indeed cancel my membership and that I had to come in instead to cancel. The only time I could manage to get over there was in May (2 months later). After going in and filling out the official cancellation form, I was told that they couldn't process the cancellation quick enough and that I would still be charged for the upcoming month in 12 days. I was told that a manager would call me about the cancellation and I could ask about them potentially processing it sooner so I don't get hit with a charge, however I never got a call. So I have essentially lost 3 months of charges due to their stupid cancellation policy.

Crunch fitness is one of the best gyms on this island. It’s pretty clean and weights are organized. The staffs are very courteous.
