The experience was not my own but a friend of mine. She went in to You & Yours Hair Castle (her card says Hair designs by Michelle) to have a color, trim and her own hair twisted. Alot of her hair was lobbed off unnecessarily as her hair was not damaged but in transition from relaxer to natural. She did not request a "big chop", just a trim. The twists were barely mediocre and color was left on her scalp and forehead. My friend had her hair done on Thursday but by the next day she was wearing a headband to cover the excessive dye left on her skin. At work on Monday her hair was pulled back under a cloth headband that had visible dark spots where the semi permanent color was seeping through. I am only giving 1 star because I cannot hit the post button otherwise. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

This has got to be the worst salon ever. Ghetto and incompetent is an understatement. I have had a burning relaxer sprayed with hair spray, attitude because of not wanting to continue getting my hair done a certain way and extremely unprofessional treatment. Explain to me how there are kids running all over the place, people gossiping and carrying on like barbarians. Oh and one stylist is too big to even move around. Since I have left the salon, my hair is already doing much better. I can't believe the cheap products they would use in my hair. All the women here were dressed in too tight revealing clothes and had no hair skills whatsoever. I will be warning other people not to go here! From now on, I will only be going to white salons. Black salons like this one are the reason most black women do not have healthy long hair!
