I lost my work ID and credit cards at this store, I was there asking for help, but they no show too much interest to help. No empathy at all.

I will never shop here again. The store wasn't crowded, the cashier was very nice. The milk on the floor is outrageous, so someone can get sick from the milk because it's sitting on the floor, and I have no clue how long it's been sitting there or what the expiration date is. I hope they don't restock it. The Tylenol you have to get at the register. The section where they have panty hoes is bare.

They don't take photos. This is already the second place I went to. Today I urgently needed a photo, but Google says it works, but in fact it doesn’t.

I am disappointed with this Walgreens location. I called at 10:36 a.m. on 09/02/23 regarding my prescription and the person who answered the phone said that my "prescription was one among the 400 prescriptions" she has to deal with. I have been following up on my prescription since 09/01/23, only to be told by that sarcastically rude person that the prescription is "over the counter." I related to her that I did not like this communication because the pharmacy should have informed me, the patient. I also told her that my prescription for paxlovid from several days ago has not been filled. Her response was "we're out of it." I said I didn't need it anymore. I told the person that I am disappointed with their service and that I will be considering other options. Her response was a curt "ok" and hung up the phone.

I did not want to give a star rating because this Walgreens location needs to be reported to the Department of Health and the better business bureau after a complaint to corporate. They hired some rude, unprofessional workers in the pharmacy area from the pharmacist to the pharmacy technicians are absolutely disgusting and need better training. The people currently working in the pharmacy Alex and Korena who is supposed to be pharmacist don’t have any regard for patients' lives they should be ashamed to call themselves healthcare workers. The leaderships in this location should be blame to condone these type of disrespectful behaviors from staff. I was told by this pharmacist that “her wait time on the phones is her wait time, and it doesn’t matter if the wait is 3 hours” What human being much less a pharmacist speak to a patient who just came out the hospital who’s in need of their medications like this?! YOU Korena the pharmacist who worked on 05/04/2023 with your Pharmacist tech needs to be fired immediately! That is not the way you addressed clients/patients concerned by insulting them! Kudos to the store manager on this day who worked the morning shift for answering the store phone twice put me on hold transfer the call and to surprise Alex the tech answered! Alex this tech laughed at my concern and argue with me claiming she couldn’t help and hung the phone up on me which indeed made the situation worst. Absolutely sad in this day and time when there are viruses and sickness on a rampage and Walgreens leadership hiring people like this who are there to serve the public. Oh I was also told that the pharmacy couldn’t answer because of a “Shortage of staff” and per the pharmacist Korena” I’m welcome toreport them and this incident to Walgreens corporate because they have 24-30 Clients calling a day” I’ve never had a pharmacist who lacks empathy, and compassion towards their patients before. I had to have my doctors resend my RX to RiteAid who take very good care of me in no time with professionalism and decency. Furthermore, Riteaid called the pharmacy and they never answered hours on hold never answered because again the pharmacist Korena made it clear her wait time is her wait time. Walgreens corporate it’s time for a change at this pharmacy location hire people who care. Total hold time via phone on 05/04/23 the entire day no one answered! Sad!

Organization and Communication is a high priority.I am a frequent pharmacy customer and it very frustrating when my prescription is not filled in a timely manner. I stood in a long line only to be told my medication was not ready and i must pick up on the next day. It is not always convenient. There are transportation, overcrowding issues and long lines which place everyone at risk. Consideration for all, especially seniors must improve. Im sure, with the right planning and organization we can alleviate the problems.

I'm so disappointed with Walgreens on Merrick Blvd in Springfield Gardens, Queens. They were contacted by a pharmacy in NJ to have my dads insulin pen transferred to their pharmacy. The pharmacist in NJ spoke with someone who worked in pharmacy in Walgreens on Merrick Blvd and the person reassured him that the prescription for my dad's insulin pen would be filled. This was a very serious situation because my dad must have his insulin and the pen that was shipped to him was not working. My mom received a call on our home # stating they were the Walgreens pharmacy on Merrick Blvd in Queens and that my dad prescription was ready. They even said his name. My husband went to the store to pick up the pen and they told him they have no idea of what he is referring to. They never received a prescription for my dad. I called the pharmacy back in NJ and was told that they spoke to someone at the Walgreens pharmacy on Merrick Blvd and they were told they would put the prescription in. He informed me that it took 1/2 hour before someone even answered the phone. Their pharmacy was told the prescription was put in. I called Walgreens and explained to them the situation and once again the pharmacist said they have received nothing for my dad. This makes no sense because how would they get my dad's name and phone number and call my mom if they never received anything for him. They called my mom and said his prescription was ready. I thank God that I was able to reach the doctor and she was able to put the prescription in another Walgreens. My dad could have gone into a diabetic coma because of the horrible service from Walgreens on Merrick Blvd. You need to check how you service people. It can be a life and death situation!

It's very unfortunate that this is my local Walgreens as it is closest to me. The last 2 times I've went there, I've only needed deodorant. They have locked up most of the deodorants (and other essential goods in other aisles) to where you have to press the button for assistance. Both times I have waited for over 10 minutes for someone to come (during which, the assistance notification for other aisles began going off as well) and no one ever came. So I ended up walking out empty handed. I will not attempt to buy the things I need from there any more. It's a shame that I have to go out of my way to stores like Target and such, where I can go straight to what I need, get it, and get on line. And not have to wait 10+ minutes for an employee that never comes.Suggestion: If theft is such a concern for you, invest in a security guard in the front, and someone watching the cameras in the back. The store is only BUT so big. Locking things up but not increasing the response time on the customer assistance notification is surely going to lose you money ANYWAY. Nobody wants to come and sit around and wait for each item they need. Thank God i didn't need more than deodorant, it would've been an all-day thing that should've been no more than 10-15 minutes in and out.

I called on Friday, Jan.6, 2023 for the pharmacy dept and I was on hold for 1 hour and 45 mins and then the phone switched from music to ringing and it rang about 8 - 10 times, then I was disconnected. While I was on hold I used my cell phone to call the store manager. A young lady answered and informed me that the manager said could I leave a message. I explained the problem I was having and the young lady said she would go over to the pharmacy department and ask them to answer the call. She switched the call over to the pharmacy I guess and the phone rang approximately 12 times and then went to a dial tone. THIS WALGREENS IS POORLY MANAGED. I am going to report this to their district manager on Monday.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever encounter. I wanted to confirm that my prescription was available and was on hold for 2 hours and then my call was disconnected. Although, I am in my 30s I feel sorry for the older adults that have to go through this. This pharmacy is unprofessional and do not whole heartedly serve their community. Its always the store in the African American community that's underserved and its shameful. Do Better the community deserves it, I recommend having your workers attend a customer service training and how to best serve the community.
