Disappointing Experience and Shady Business Practices
I recently have been looking at LCI X3/4M's and came across a few in my area within reasonable driving distance. One was located at Wide World BMW, so after verifying the car was there, I took a 45-minute drive to see it. Upon arrival, I found the car outside and took a quick look while waiting for the salesman. When he arrived, he grabbed the keys and unlocked the vehicle, but then immediately told me it was too late for a test drive. This was very frustrating, as the test drive was one of the main reasons I came and had been discussed prior to my arrival.
After some small talk, I advised the salesman I would return the next day for the test drive, to which he agreed. The manager then came out, was nice enough, and spoke about closing the deal that day. While I understand the urgency, on an $80k+ car, I was in no rush. They offered me an extra $1500 off, which was decent but still above my initial budget of $60-$69k.
We discussed my trade-in, and they offered $7500, even though I had recently been offered $12000 at another BMW dealer. After some back and forth, they increased their offer to $9000, but I decided I'd rather keep the car as a daily driver at that price. My wife was hungry, so I decided to return the next day.
The next day, after some thought, I decided to proceed with the deal despite not being thrilled with it. When I called my salesman, he told me the $1500 off was for the previous day only, and now they could only offer $500 off. This was very annoying, but I decided to move forward and asked for the total to do a cash deal. I was then told they would NOT accept a cash deal and that I had to finance through them. This shady business practice of forcing customers to finance through them is just horrible.
As a customer service manager myself, this rubbed me the wrong way. I get that everyone needs to make money, but these tactics are unacceptable. In my 22 years of driving and purchasing over 10 cars, I have never been this unhappy with an experience. I can't even say if I like the car because I haven't driven it. I would not recommend Wide World BMW based on this experience.
After my dreadful experience at this dealership, I was on the verge of swearing off BMWs altogether. However, my outlook completely changed when I connected with Will from the internet department at Sun Motor Cars BMW. From our very first interaction, Will was nothing short of professional, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to send me detailed pictures and a comprehensive service history, which immediately put me at ease and made me comfortable asking more questions.
As the process moved forward, Will seamlessly introduced me to Kyle, who took over without missing a beat. I’ll admit, I was a bit hesitant to switch contacts after building such a good rapport with Will, but Kyle was equally professional and kept everything moving smoothly. He thoroughly explained all the options, including various plans, without ever making me feel pressured. In the end, I chose a plan that covered Tire and Wheel protection with alloy wheel coverage and a few other perks.
This is exactly how car buying should feel – smooth, transparent, and stress-free. I walked away from Sun Motor Cars BMW completely satisfied and with zero regrets. If I ever decide to purchase another BMW, I won’t hesitate to leave New York and drive 3-4 hours back to Sun Motor Cars BMW. It’s worth the trip to avoid the shady dealings of local dealerships. Thank you, Sun Motor Cars BMW, for restoring my faith in the brand!

Samantha, the service manager, called to address my concern and correct the issue. It was done smoothly and swiftly. I will definitely use Wide World again.
I wanted Wide World to be my BMW dealership because their location was convenient. Last time I had my car serviced they broke my key fob. Fortunately, I have insurance to cover that expense. Recently I brought my car in for rear brake pads. I wanted to be prepared a for the cost so I called ahead and asked for an estimate Alison called me back and gave me a quote of $518.00. I realize I should leave a little wiggle room just in case there is an additional charge.
My service advisor, James, called me to give me the price for the repair over the phone. He said he had the price sheet in front of him and it was $295 each. Ok, so now it’s $600.00. Told James to proceed with the work. Pick up the car and was charged $788.
Emailed James to find out why it was more than expected. No reply. Called James 2 times. Left voicemail. No return call. Someone called to follow up on my satisfaction with my visit. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she would pass along my complaint and have her call me back. No call back after 5 days.
Lastly, I might have left my handicap placard in the loaner. Called about that. No return call. Two thumbs down for their customer service.

Just purchased my 3rd BMW from WWB. Barb D was my salesperson all 3 times. She made the purchase quick and easy as usual.Just how I like it. Loving my new BMW. Josh in finance is great too! I will use them again.

Hands down the worst experience buying a car here. It went well at first but went totally downhill after the car was actually paid for. This was a 62k transaction.
1) Received the car with a huge ant infestation that took weeks to clean out.
2) Rodents ate heat shields in the engine bay and left piles of droppings everywhere....
3) Got the car with a dealer plate that has now been expired for a week, I cannot drive the car and unable to get ahold of anyone at the dealership. My original salesperson Usman has ghosted me.
4) I was sold a nitrofill plan that I cannot use in my area as none of the dealers recognize it. Waste of $400.
None of the above issues have been rectified . Absolutely terrible.
