This compact store is pretty clean with large variety of produce and ethnic products. The produce I saw seemed fresh. The fresh fish in the back was well iced. Some prices are a little high but as expected for this type of store. Cashiers were efficient.I did not appreciate a worker in tbe aisle who was very reluctant to respond when I asked if they had frozen Pigeon Peas. I asked 3 times before he mumbled "ran out". A few minutes later I found a freezer case in front of the store filled with them! Thankfully not every worker is rude... I asked a guy behind the fish counter for Ackee. He very clearly and politely told me exactly where to find it.One star deducted for the rude worker. Otherwise I recommend this mini market.

The customer service is appauling, and the uncleaniness of the store should be reported to the NYS Department of Labor. I witnessed a worker spit on the floor as he swept. The vegetables are not fresh, and most have mold on them, and are questionable for when its "true" expiration date is. Going here to shop, is not worth the aggrevation. The owner of the shop should re-evulate the health and safety standards as they are not acceptable.

The best Swap Meet in San Diego. $1 entrance. Kids are free. Plenty of parking. But, can get full quick. Saturday's & Sunday's only. Every now & then you'll find that hidden treasure. Today, I found a nice Timbuk2 backpack for $15. You can find almost anything here. I also go here to get my weekly exercise, walking around for an hour or two will go fast. Overall, you'll enjoy the Spring Valley Swap Meet. Note: Food trucks are a must try. Good eats.

Swap Meet, you kind of have to go there shield up and open minded. What you desperately need is probably under a stack of disco 8 tracks and fishing rods. Sometimes I just go to be amazed be the amazing, unusual items! There really is no established walking pattern or politeness, just stop anywhere and walk directly into everyone. Something cooking smelled wonderful though I never saw the source. Kobey's is more repetitions of a few basic booths. Spring Valley is more the ole style garage sales and a few phone fixers, plants, tools, and mystery cures. This is a reminder to slow down, smile, and enjoy the atmosphere, because you aren't getting through in a hurry

30+ years later and nothing has changed. It's the oldest and largest swap meet in San Diego. Best to go when you first moved into a new residence and need to stock up on cleaning, household supplies, appliances, etc. Or when you are looking for a specific item and want a bargain. The website has an aerial map view of the parking and entrances. I describe the swap meet in a "U" shape. With the bottom half being second-hand vendors and the upper half with new vendors. The map circled 3 entrances (Bottom U and the top corners of the U). However, there are more entrances not circled which are 2 more in between the upper U. Which is why parking in that lot is convenient. Directions: Follow GPS or view directions on their website to exit Paradise Valley Rd. However, coming from North County heading South on 125, I like to exit Jamacha Blvd, make a left on Elkelton Blvd, follow the curve to the left onto Quarry Rd and you are instantly in the lot. Parking (Free): -There are staff patrols to direct all way traffic -Arriving on Quarry Rd, the first right that you see will take you into a dirt lot. (Before the traffic guy). I usually avoid this because you'll need a car wash afterwards. -There is an opening to the left where the traffic guy stands. I wouldn't recommend this lot either because it's the closest to one of the swap meet gate and gets filled up quick. -We kept going and turned into the next lot on the left which was already getting full and we were 4th to the last row at 9am. Hours: 7am-3pm Saturdays and Sundays. With all my past attendance histories, 8am is the sweet time to arrive when people are mostly set up and you find the best pre-owned treasures. We arrived at 9am and as it got later, it got more crowded. Cost: $1 per person. Cash only. Children under 12 are free. Many people bring small pets but make sure they are leashed. I wouldn't recommend that it's suitable for pets due to the heat and crowd. You can leave and re-enter with a hand stamp. Vendors: Rows and rows of vendors. Over 200 vendors if each spot is filled up. There are numbers at each end of the rows and on the trees. -Households - shampoo, detergent, soap, it's cheaper here than discount stores like Big Lots because there's no tax. Diapers, toilet paper. It's like Dollar Tree but not all cost $1. -Socks/Boxers - One year we got men boxers and they end up shrinking 2 sizes and I ended up wearing it as pjs. Socks are okay. -Fruits - Many fruits not produce -Clothing - I shopped here a lot as a teenager. Some vendors don't have dressing rooms. Other items I've got recently were Hawaiian dresses for a themed party. A few vendors dump piles of screen Tees like Lucky brand, Billabong, etc for less than $10. You can find used mechanic clothing like Dickies brand for $2 in great condition. - Shoes - Name brand such as Nike, Adidas, Vans -Blankets/sheets/bedding -Furniture - Bedrooms sets, mattresses, dining tables -Car stereo/electronics/speakers - I've bought several car stereos here in the past. I saw Ariana Granda wireless headphones by Brookstone, new in box for $40 when I got them for $100 for my nieces 2 Christmas agos. -Plants/Flowers - Many Farmer Market type flowers and vendors that sell potted plants and succulents. I got a bouquet of 6 pink roses mixed with carnations $10. -Appliances - You'll be overwhelmed with kitchen appliances like blenders, toasters, ovens, space heaters ($10). Instapots for $60. Restaurant depot large cookwares. -Accessories - wigs, hair accessories, jewelry -Antiques/Crafts - Weaving, knitting -Tools - Craftsmen brand tools. Anything for the car or garden can be found here. -Snacks/pantry - Cereals, nuts, protein shakes, canned items -Used second-hand vendors sell just about anything. You'll need patience with ability to bend down to go through the piles. This area is extremely crowded located at the bottom of the "U". Food: -Food trucks are scattered but you can find

All of the food is way overpriced. And when you ask how much something is, they give you a very high upsell price. I understand they're trying to make money, but the customers are trying to get somewhat of a deal.

Tacos de Birria here are bomb! Very meaty. However, customer service is not good and lack attention from the servers. There are not enough salsa bottles nor vegetable plates for all the tables so you find yourself walking around looking for them because everyone is trying to get some

So, I called their business office just to ask about business at the swapmeet. Didn't expect the representative to just hang up. First of all he answered the phone wouldnt even give his name, and when asked he just hung up. Wow.... what an exciting organization. Do call there. If that's the way they handle calls, the business there is just as bad.
