I want to share a story with you and thank the staff and pharmacist at Eckerson Drug Store on Route 45 in Hillcrest, NY. I've been going to them for years , a little over a year ago I moved out of the area. I continue to go out of my way to get all my prescriptions from Eckerson because time and time again they have given me exceptional service. Today my physician prescribed an additional medication for my cholesterol. Hillcrest Pharmacy called to tell me it was ready. A few minutes later they called me back to let me know the copay was $100. I said I didn't mind the co pay but I want to talk to the pharmacist to ask about any side effects and if I really needed this prescription. When I arrived at the pharmacy I was greeted as always by the staff upfront and at the back counter. The pharmacist got my prescription, as I was asking him if I really needed it, he ripped open the bag and said you are not getting this. He further went on to explain the doctor prescribed Fish Oil. That I should get it at Costco or the Grocery store. I was relieved that it wasn't a medication I needed to take, and very happy the Hillcrest Pharmacy was looking out for me as they always do. Hillcrest Pharmacy is personally owned and part of the local community. I highly recommend everyone to try them, you will not go back to the big chain pharmacy again. Thank you Hillcrest Pharmacy. I got the same quantity and mg. Of Fish oil for $10. at my grocery store.

The whole staff is GREAT!!!! I would recommend going to this pharmacy, staff and Pharmacist is willing to answer and help you out. The pharmacist treats you like family, unlike these large pharmacies.
