**Outstanding Local Mechanic!**
I moved to the area 2 years ago and needed a nearby mechanic for convenient drop-offs and pick-ups. I’ve now brought several vehicles to EDL Automotive for inspection, alignment, and brake work, and can confidently say this shop deserves a 5-star review.
The communication with the owner and his wife, whether in person or over the phone, has been exceptional. They are always friendly, helpful, and efficient in answering questions and setting up appointments. I especially appreciate their modern touch—they can text you when your vehicle is ready or if they have any questions, which saves time and simplifies communication. Plus, they provide digital receipts, which are handy for record-keeping.
This is exactly the kind of local mechanic you want for your vehicles. Seeing high-quality, show-worthy cars being serviced here only reinforces the trust and care people have in EDL Automotive. Highly recommended!

Called to get an inspection, they got me in same day. In and out in 30 minutes. Their place is super clean, professional. 10/10 I would highly recommend. Thanks EDL!

I would like to start this story from the beginning around five years ago. I bought a 1970 GTX and the 440 6 barrel was not running right. A friend of mine suggested a mechanic that he knew and introduced me to Elton. He fixed the GTX and it was running like never before. Since then, he has done many repairs with all of the workmanship meeting my expectations. We talked throughout the years of doing a hell crate swap in the 1970 Challenger. Well, last year was the year he took on the challenge. The car is now done, and the results are fantastic. The workmanship looks like if Dodge made that motor in 1970, the factory would have installed it that way. I am so pleased with how the team at EDL Automotive knocked this project out of the park. I wouldn't trust any other mechanics to work on my cars and the family-owned business is such a friendly atmosphere. Thanks again EDL Automotive! The car is out of this world.Doug WeaverGreece NY

Elton has been working on my vehicles for years now along with some of my family members as well. His son and him are both extremely knowledgeable and can diagnose and fix any issue you have on your vehicle whether it is a late model or new. Jen is also a key aspect of the business making sure I always know what’s going on while I have my vehicle in the shop. Everyone is always polite and professional. Thanks EDL Automotive!!!!!

I have used EDL before with great success. But this time they wanted 500 bucks up front to mount 4 brand new 275/65/20 on brand new wheels in the box. Not even on a vehicle. I also didn't have a time line that I needed them back.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great shop! The owner and staff are always polite, professional, trustworthy, knowledgeable and informative. I always feel valued & respected which is very rare from my own past experiences as a woman when cars are involved. I have had major work done and I am never disappointed. I stopped pricing around because I always end up choosing EDL automotive for their outstanding work, fair and affordable prices. It’s rare to find a good honest mechanic which is upfront immediately about the work that needs to be done and why. This is the only auto shop I will use for my vehicle. I would highly recommend this auto shop without any reservation! My only regret is not writing ✍️ this auto review years ago.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement

Consumers go to a local mom and pop auto shop as opposed to their dealership for many reasons, but mostly for the sake of supporting local businesses, customer service, clear and honest communication, and fair pricing so as not to be swindled into making a seemingly small repair turn into an unnecessarily large hole in their emergency savings. They don't necessarily go to an auto shop for superior auto repair skills or know-how - dealerships (and also some consumers) have that expertise and up-to-date information too. I'm sad to say, especially since EDL is a young company and was referred to us by someone who knows them and who also works in the auto industry, that the reasons we'd typically choose a small business over a dealership (customer service, communication, convenience, kindness) are exactly the reasons we will never have our vehicles repaired here again.I pretty much never bother to write consumer reviews unless they're for a very positive experience and I can do my part to get the word out to give them a boost. I'm optimistic that the work EDL did on my husband's car is fine and I appreciate the gentleman who did the job and explained everything that needed to be done (cracked exhaust pipe in a hard-to-see place, sensor replacement, and also new coil needed after further inspection). But the woman who subsequently took our calls and arranged payment and pick-up of the car will be the death of their business. 1.) After the man quoted a $600 repair, she called back later to tell us it's actually going to be over $1,000 repair factoring in labor. Slightly more than what we were quoted at our dealership TBH (pricing). The car was already there and this was the week that one of us will be out of town with a rental car on business anyway so - fine, let's just get it done (convenience). 2.) I've never had a business tell me when trying to schedule a vehicle pick-up that they cannot stick around 15 minutes longer because they have dinner reservations. (She didn't know it also happened to be my husband's birthday.) Why would you tell a customer that? Even if the answer is, "Sorry we're unable to stay past 5:00 that day" why would you overshare that your dinner plans are more important to you than the customer who is about to cut you a $1,000 check? 3.) After agreeing to pick up the car a day earlier (yesterday, Thursday) and sticking around a few minutes for us to get it after rearranging our work schedules, the same woman called us while we were on our way to tell us to come in the morning instead to get our car because (and she said this over the phone) she was offended that I suggested it was in poor taste to tell your customers you have dinner plans and that's why you can't assist them. So holding our car hostage is a more professional response? I've never had an exchange like this before as a customer. We were already 25 minutes into our 30-minute drive there and thankfully 5 minutes after her call we did get our vehicle back, pockets $1,034.61 lighter. I feel sorry for the rest of the family business but you really need to find her a different job. The way she communicates with customers could seriously sabotage any positive work you're accomplishing in the garage. I've actually lost sleep over this. And today is my husband's birthday. We would make dinner reservations but... Enjoy your dinner tonight. It's on us. The dealership happens to be across the street from my husband's work and they were always incredibly kind. Lesson learned.Services: Auto exhaust system replacement
