Don at Southold Auto Repair fixed our flat tire right away and for a good value so my familycould get back in the road safely. We are grateful for his help. Our family - including our five-year-old - was driving and felt a flat tire. We stopped at the closest gas station to check and they recommended Southold Auto Repair. Don checked all our tires, fixed the flat, checked the oil, and provided us with new valve caps for a reasonable price. We were back in the road in thirty minutes.Glad we found our preferred mechanic on the North Fork.

We were visiting family nearby & on our way to the ferry to head home when our tire pressure indicator light came on. We looked and found a screw in our tire. Did a quick search online & saw that we were only a mile from Southold Automotive Corp. We pulled in and asked if they could fix it. We told them that we were on the way to the ferry & asked if I would need to reschedule our departure time. He checked his watch & said no problem! Our tire was fixed & we were out of there in less than 1/2 hour. Helpful, HONEST, reasonably priced! THANK YOU! They knew we were not locals & the chance of our coming back for service was slim.... they could have ripped us off- but they went above & beyond to get us to the ferry on time & most importantly...HONEST!

I had an odd noise coming out of the back of my car so took it to Don. He found the problem - a piece of my exhaust had rusted out. He could have replaced the entire system for me, but suggested that was overkill. I just needed a new piece welded into the muffler. He didn't have the equipment so recommended another place who could do the job. Saved me over $500!! Auto repair shops get a bad wrap sometimes but I glad I found this place. I trust that Don's recommendations will be honest and in the customer's best interest! Highly recommended!!!

So it happened I was driving away from home with my parents and 2 kids on a very hot day when I got a message on the dashboard that the battery in my car wasn't charging. After stopping somewhere and the person refuse to even take a look at my car, I'm glad I found this place. The guy (and I'm sorry I forgot his name) looked, checked and charged the battery so it was safe for me to get home to my mechanic. And charged me a lot less than I thought it would be for a rescue appt.

I had a great experience with Southold Automotive! On my first visit he went through my entire car just to check it out and make sure everything was functioning, even for just a simple oil change! Additionally they topped up the rest of my fluids free of charge (great for a recent college grad like me!) and advised me of competitive pricing should I decide to get my parts from somewhere else in the future. He even called a few months later to follow up and make sure my car was running smoothly, I wish I still lived in the Southold area. Honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had when it comes to car repair, thank you Don!
