As an architect practicing in the Hamptons for 8 years, I regretfully have to say I use few local vendors but Hamptons Carpet One is an exception! Eugenia is extremely professional and has a great eye. She is always in communication and keeps on top of the status with long lead time custom orders. The installer for my recent purchase of plantation shutters and motorized blinds was excellent. Call her or better yet make an appointment to visit her at the showroom.

Today while pumping gas one of this companies trucks appeared to be about to back into me. I laid on my horn and the driver continued to get incredibly close to my car, so I continued to beep. The driver screamed at me that he had a camera in a complete anger. I am a woman alone with children. I simply did not want my car damaged. I'm not sure what this guys problem was but I know I'd never want him in my house doing an installation. I was shaken. My husband on speakerphone could hear the man screaming at me. People were staring. This employee clearly has a massive anger issue. I called the business and the woman said "I'm sorry that happened, that's the world now." No, that's your employee and their behavior was completely unacceptable.

I can’t say enough good things about Carpet One in Southampton. I have used them for carpeting and all sorts of window treatments. I’ve always dealt with Eugenia and she is awesome - knowledgeable, extremely helpful and organized. They get things done in a timely fashion and their installers are great.

I contacted them with a link to a carpet from their website that I was interested in purchasing, along with a PDF floor plan of our home with exact dimensions. I told them we are highly motivated to schedule the work. They sent me a price and we agreed to move forward. I waited a week for a phone call for them to schedule a measure at our home so we could move forward with placing the carpet on order. They never called. I reached out to the sales person a few times and still, no one called. I found another local company who came the next day to measure and our carpet install was scheduled on the spot for three days later. The company we are using is half the price of what was quoted to us by Carpet One. I got the feeling that we are "small potatoes" in their eyes and not worth their time. Message received.
