I needed to buy an AC Unit for my daughter's apartment. There was a price difference that was advertised on the Home Depot website. I walked over to customer service, stood there for about 10 minutes without being acknowledged by two female sales associates. They were busy yapping away about their personal lives. I said, excuse me.. sorry to interrupt and continue to ask my question. 1) both were abrupt and very rude 2) both gave me wrong information. I was too annoyed and walked away to deal with their poor customer service. I went to search for another sale associate and found Mike, he's the reason for the 5 stars!!! He helped me out, was very friendly and professional. There was another sales rep that asked if I needed help with the AC unit and brought me a cart. I didn't get his name. But these guys should train those rude women in customer service.

I never really felt the need to write reviews on here but this one was warranted. I came in for a simple pair of vertical blinds to be cut that was all. Standing here for 35 minutes like an idiot having people paged no one ever comes, watched 2 customers with rug orders get no help and cancel them, the girl at the counter didn't even care then to finally get help after 40 minutes, a call to the store, numerous attempts to get help to finally have someone come from another department come cut them only to waste 3 sets of blinds to finally cut them correctly "so he says" I walk to the counter to pay but I open the box to inspect only to find them all frayed and cut wrong. Wasn't even going to bother going back. Complete waste of time and Money "Thankfully not my money. Home Depot get your act together and staff the store properly and get competent help. Guess it's Lowe's for me from now on. Best part was I told the guy at customer service when I was returning that your store was understaffed and poorly run he told me I was preaching to the choire and to post this so maybe things would change. Lol

The Home Depot, this company has the worst customer service ever. I bought a Samsung dryer from them less than a month ago and since day 1 it wasn't working properly. I called home depot to complain and they said to call Samsung, I call Samsung and they said its Home Depot, they didn't install properly. I called Home Depot they again said call Samsung, after 10 mins they finally agreed to come out and check the install but after two weeks. This morning they came and in 5 mins

On Tuesday August 7th, we went to this store to buy a dishwasher. The sales lady was very nice and helpful. We bought a dishwasher and after all the necessary paperwork she asked "would you like delivery Thursday or Friday" We said Thursday, got home, changed all our plans so we could be home on Thursday, she said they would call the night before with approximate time. I went out Wed. night so when I got home asked my husband if they had called, he said no, I was surprised but figured they would call early in the morning with the information, well they did not call so at about 10 am I called and surprised the lady says "oh I am sorry but your delivery day is August 23rd" I was shocked, who would buy a dishwasher to be delivered in 2 1/2 weeks, unless you are getting a new kitchen, not when you need it sooner and the saleswoman should have told us the date not Thursday or Friday and then we would have made our decision as to what to do, needless to say we cancelled the order and got it from someplace else. Bad bad customer service.

I spend more money in home depot than I do at any other store. Hands down. I just wish they would give you a loyalty rewards card for consumers to get points or something like Costco does. Super convenient and easy to navigate, they have everything you need for general projects. The guys in Centereach know everything and are very nice and helpful. I love the buy it online and pick it up there option. Here's a few tips and recommendations... 1. Lumber pricing is not the best, so check lumber mills like Sider for better prices and free or cheap delivery. 2. They have way too many 3rd party sales people aggressively stalking you or confronting you in the store. I'm just buying crap for a specific job, I'm not there to window shop so leave me alone if I don't engage you. 3. They should help you load lumber on your truck or suv if you're riding solo, that would be nice.

Store It can be challenging during peak times to find good help and items. As far as what they carry, this HD is priceless. I come here for my annual mulch run and air filters. I can't imagine going anywhere else. Excellent location and friendly staff. I find their selection of tiles, paints and gardening supplies to be overwhelming at times but impressive Appliances feels scattered and I prefer Best Buy or shopping online. Unless their item is on clearance, they don't carry any inventory for major appliances. Basically pay and they ship to your home. Might as well shop online. Home furnishings I used HD For first time to reface cabinets and replace kitchen counter. I was impressed with the professionalism and service for the most part. Pricy but timely. Warranty is what did it for me - 5 years for cabinets and 15 years for counter. Warning. Fix or change one damn thing in your house and suddenly everything needs work. Damn you HGTV. I have such an appreciation now for kitchen cabinets. Wife and I basically blew our wedding money on a kitchen reno.

I was in the East Setauket, New York Home Depot today at 1:00 pm in the garden department. A member of your staff (he had a Home Depot polo shirt on) Was yelling at a customer about a generator. He used the “F†word numerous times while there were customers in the area INCLUDING CHILDREN. I asked him to stop that there were children here. He said “I'm sorry but I have a situation hereâ€. I complained at customer service desk. The ladies were very apologetic but the male manager was very dismissive to me and said “I'll talk to himâ€. I'm very disappointed that this behavior will be tolerated at Home Depot!

Home Depot advertises that they will price match online stores, but they don't honor their policy. I've been looking for a refrigerator & narrowed it down to the one I want. The price at Home Depot is $2,069.99. I found the exact same refrigerator, also same model number, at Goedeker's online for $1,478.99. I called Home Depot customer service & was connected to their online price match dept. The customer service rep I spoke to informed me that they would not match Goedeker's price because they don't consider them a competitor? Goedeker's is a national appliance dealer, so how are they not a competitor? She also informed me that the difference was too much, the most they would price match is about $200. Well that's not what their policy states on their website.
