Visited One Twenty Three Restaurant after a tennis match. The exceptional waiter made our experience memorable. Indulged in delightful chocolate martinis and savored a delicious filet mignon. Special mention to the accommodating staff for promptly fulfilling my daughter's request for a second serving of pasta.

I wasn't planning to give a review until the experience at the end of the night.. Went to this restaurant on Business . My salad had a bug in it besides being drenched in salad dressing. I didn't want to embarrass the restaurant (or myself for picking this place) in front of my clients because I understand "things" happen. So I pretended that I didn't want the salad and said I would take it to go. My main course, Veal Marsala was definitely not veal. It was a visibly hammered/pounded meat of some sort similar to cube steak. Very dry and tasted a few days old. However I kept it to myself because not everything in life needs a complaint. The NY cheesecake was clearly frozen packaged with a curdled consistency and top half covered in a thick hard layer of lemon sugar. Nothing like a NY cheesecake. Very disappointing. The waiter lurked around the table and interrupted our conversation adding his own similar story. Perhaps he was trying to be friendly but he should not have just jumped into our dinner conversation unexpected. After all that, I still did not plan to write a review until after I paid the bill. Apparently the waiter felt a 15% tip was not enough, he brought back my check and with no shame, questioned the tip. I passed it off as times are hard especially during the holidays and added a few extra $$. To me, adding more was worth it because it was at that point I decided a review was necessary. Overall : Food was below par, service was rude & greedy and the ambiance was outdated and way too dark. There are far better places to eat. I do not recommend.

I happen to stumble across this place on my way home from an event in New Canaan. Service was amazing everyone was so warm, welcoming, and attentive! I ordered the steak off the specials menu with the side of risotto it was hands down one of the top three steaks I’ve had.Definitely recommend

Visited this restaurant Sunday evening with my husband and 2 sons. We really enjoyed the food and the lovely cosy atmosphere. The staff were really attentive and polite and prices are reasonable. We will most definitely visit again and I would highly recommend the Lamb chops - cooked to perfection!!

Old school from the look, taste and the way they treat you. We all sat at the bar and were most welcome by our bartender. Lots of apps to share including fried mozz with a great sauce, prosciutto de parma over melon balls, fried calamari and my favorite....... the Tuna Tartar which is a must try. For my main i went with the special which was a perfectly medium rare steak with mushroom risotto.
