I have never written a complaint like this before, but this is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and completely lack decency or empathy.
I was forced to switch to Walgreens from CVS due to an insurance change, and every month since have had a nightmare of an experience dealing with obtaining my refills on time at this location.
I have filed complaints with Walgreens corporate, the BBB, NYS, and my insurance company over the issues I’ve experienced with them.
I have a crippling panic disorder that is well documented and maintained on a stable, low-dose prescription. I am in frequent contact with my providers and have never sought an early refill or additional medication.
Still, every month since being forced to switch pharmacies, I have to advocate for myself just to refill on time and avoid skipped doses which could exacerbate my condition and cause seizures. It is my most stable medication, and my mental health really hinges on my taking it as prescribed.
It is very important for me as a patient to not run out of the medication that allows me to function.
I shouldn’t have to explain to a pharmacy while down to one dose and having a panic attack over it every month why it’s seriously important for me to not run out or be forced to skip doses. I need that refill on time, every time, every month. That’s all.
This pharmacy treats me like a criminal for this, and it hinders my ability to receive appropriate care. I call and try really hard to not hold it together on the phone, but…like I said, I have a crippling panic disorder and running out of medication TERRIFIES me.
I had asked to complain to a regional or district manager and was denied their contact information by Nicole (the “pharmacist”) only to be told that the manager has been told “all about me” and that I am being permanently refused service for asking that my prescription stop being placed on hold or neglected to be filled on time. This has happened consistently, every month, for over a year.
I never had a bad experience with a pharmacy before, and I feel like I am unable to receive good care from anyone in the Walgreens system due to this pharmacist’s behavior towards me. I understand substance abuse is a problem and I understand why there are regulations surrounding my medication. I never in my life have exploited that, and the way I have been treated is deplorable. I am now being forced to locate a non-Walgreens pharmacy that makes access to my medication even more difficult. This is unacceptable.
If you are reading this, and this has happened to you as well (I certainly cannot be alone here) I highly recommend you make similar complaints as it is absolutely unethical.

I've been to more Walgreens this week than expected, including this one now. Overall, I'm finding the stores, in general, handle vaccinations well, and their receipts aren't as long as those from CVS. Their prices aren't always competitive. For this particular store, there's typically 3 people in the pharmacy area, and there's the private "consultation room" for vaccinations. The layout of the store is somewhat awkward, because the aisles on the right side are long and slanted. There isn't necessarily as much variety here as some of their larger, newer, stores, but they have all the basics, and the store is well stocked and clean.

Why are the pharmacy techs so unhappy? Honestly… I am curious. 2 of them either need to get paid more or have sometime off work because they are so mean, annoyed to even speak with me, and talk over me. Basically they hate me for needing medication. That’s how they make me feel. Maybe they have an awful manager? I never did anything to be treated this way so I am just at a loss. Merry Christmas ?

I had made an appointment to get a booster and could not remember the time so called the pharmacy to check. The phone rang too many times before I got a very rude, "HELP YOU?"I explained and she said do you have a confirmation number I said no I never got one so she said then you don't have an appointment and for me to go to the mall they were taking walk-ins. Then I heard a very loud "YEAH!" from the background. Needless to say I chopped up my Walgreens card and will never go there again. I would give no stars if I could.

I never complain like this. The older lady that always works the checkout earlier in the day I believe her name is Mary Lou The first time I complained about how miserable she was one of the workers said to me oh she's been here 30 years like it's a good thing this woman is so miserable that if she is worked there for 30 years there is no way that she has not cost them millions of dollars I live right next door and I have avoid Walgreens like the plague because of this woman she's beyond miserable she's evil.. One time when I complained about her while standing in a line of 12 people waiting 20 minutes to ring out two people the whole line agreed and clapped.

I've driven by this Walgreens so many times but have never actually been inside. Until yesterday. I was lucky enough to score my first Covid vaccine there. This is a good sized store with a small-ish parking lot. Very clean and easy to navigate. I expected there to be a little bit more organization around the vax situation...but after I spoke with the pharmacist, I found out that they were double booked without having any additional help. So, the overwhelmed staff gets a pass. It's not easy doing what they do: providing a safe environment for seekers of the Covid vaccine along with lines of people coming in to get their prescriptions filled. Then, of course...it's a store. People are shopping for stuff. All things considered, they managed the small group of us vaccine participants and pharmacy-goers well. They were only running about 20 minutes behind...which is amazing compared to some other folks that were in vax lines for hours at other locations. I would shop here in the future now that I've actually been inside.
