Required ID to deposit a check even though we entered our debit card and pin. When did ID become required to deposit a check in my name? Will be closing our account to avoid this nonsense.

Only 2 employees working around noon today. One in an office; the other in the vault. Meanwhile 5 customers waiting in the lobby and no one behind the counter for 10 mins. What great service. This is not the first long wait for service - for sure not the last; count on it getting worse.

Only 2 employees working around noon today. One in an office; the other in the vault. Meanwhile 5 customers waiting in the lobby and no one behind the counter for 10 mins. What great service. This is not the first long wait for service - for sure not the last; count on it getting worse.

This is the worst Citibank I have ever to had to deal with. They are rude, unprofessional, and they don't have a clue about where your money. They lost a $10,000 check. They didn't acknowledge that they lost it. I was given the run around multiple times about it. I had to take legal action. All of the staff are rude, specifically a female suedo manager. Bank tellers wear t-shirts and jeans. In my opinion, RUN FROM THIS BANK . Find another bank all together. One more thing...I've been a customer for 22 years and I was treated like I was the one messed up. On another note, a VP hung up on me, because he was in the wrong with no answers. STAY AWAY

The teller who waited on me gets five stars. She acknowledged the wait and she was friendly and knowledgeable. But when you are waiting on line and there is someone behind the teller desk chatting with the teller who is providing service and two other people go in and out behind the desk, chatting briefly with the other person behind the desk (not sure what she was doing) it is a little frustrating to wait. For sure, the folks not assisting are doing other jobs, but good customer service would be to acknowledge the customers in line with some gratuitous chit chat (how are you today?; Sorry for your wait; blah blah will be with you momentarily). But to just walk by a line of people multiple times is rude and it is forgetting why you are at work...the customers.

VERY BAD SERVICE!! DON'T OPEN AN ACCOUNT THERE!I have been a 20 year Citi customer for personal and business accounts there. We wanted to open up a checking account for my 15 year old. I had to go to the Somers, NY branch 4 times (two of which with my daughter) and had a couple of phone conversations with customer service(general cust. service) to just find out what documents we need to bring. Finally they accepted the documents they needed. However after opening the account and sending us the debit card and accepting the deposit, they sent us a letter with refund of the initial deposit stating that the account was CLOSED. Shocked to see the letter, I went to the branch to find out why it was closed. The banker lady stated that the letter from school was too old(1 month older that what they required). I asked why they didn't call me to let me know so we could bring an updated school letter, she mentioned that she had called my 15 year old which is hard to believe. I was the main account holder and they had my phone number too. But they chose to call a 15 year old? The banker did not apologize, and had a non challant attitude towards the whole thing. It was clearly their fault not to check documents before opening the account. It was very disappointing. Now they need me to bring my 15 year old and all of the documents again to open the account from the beginning. I tried to call the branch to make an appointment but it is impossible to speak to someone. It automatically connects to the 1800 customer service. So my 15 year old probably started her credit history life with a closed account because of the banker's incompetence! Wonderful :( As I am writing this review, I am still trying to call and speak to someone there. Do yourself a favor and find another bank! I am even thinking about possibly moving all of my account out of Citi because of this experience.

I went today to the Citibank at Somers NY. I was looking for to get information regarding safety box rental. A teller behind the counter was very helpful. She offered detailed information . Also I was offered to sit with one associate, I declined the offer cause not having enough time. This associate came behind the counter and when I asked him what is required to rent a safety box, his answer was, open an account of course, then he proceeded to ask me if I was an American Citizen! Wow that question was cause by my appearance?! He may be feel quite uncomfortable.....
