I can't believe I am writing this review. Dr Gold has been my doctor for over 16 years. Even when I moved out of Smithtown I kept him as my primary doctor if I ever needed anything. I called the office today in hopes to get some help, and was pretty much told by the rude woman who answered the phone that because I haven't been in there in awhile, she'd need to ask if the doctor would be willing to help (not that he couldn't, if he'd be willing...) So because they haven't charged my insurance company in awhile, the help I need from doctor of 16 years is now on line. I'm shocked and disappointed.

Smithtown Medical Specialists is my primary care office. I see Dr Gold, as well the the nurse practitioners April and Jen. They are all excellent. The staff here is caring and understanding. I have a rather complex medical situation and they take the time to really take care of me. They do this with all their patients. They are caring and knowledgeable. The one thing thats worth making a note of is you can expect long wait times to see the doctors. This is because of the personalized attention they give to each and every patient. As long as youre expecting it, its not that bad. When it comes to doctors these are the best primary care physicians around. With hours Monday through Saturday, it is relatively easy to get an appointment if you are sick. They even have blood lab right in the building. I highly recommend Smithtown Medical Associates!

Dr Gold is an excellent doctor. He's been taking great care of me for about 6 years. He is very thorough with his examination and very caring. He makes me feel good about going to a doctor.
