Had a serious issue with my wife's car. A friend of mine said to go see Howard here. Howard was able to repair my wife's car at a very reasonable price, considering the amount of work that had to go into it.Definitely going to go back with her car again and my truck for future service. Fair prices for good work.

I cannot say how happy I am that I listened to the previous reviews on Smithtown auto and had them look at my car. I had noticed a whistling coming from the back of my car and went to 3 different places. We were told nothing was wrong with our car based on diagnostic hook up, another told us that is was weather stripping and told my husband to go to auto shop and do it himself and others simply couldn’t look at my car because they were too busy.Howie got me in the day I called, told me what was wrong with the car in 3 min (breaks!) and repaired them the following morning. He even had it done 1 hr before I requested bc my family was going away for the weekend.Smithtown auto will now be my first call always!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Check engine light came on so I googled shops in the area and this one had good reviews. Howard was very nice and honest and originally quoted me a price which i already thought was fair. But it turned out there was less work that needed to be done so I was charged less. A lot of places would have just done the work to make the money but I appreciate his honesty. Will definitely be coming back.Service: Check engine light diagnostic

Howie and the mechanics here took great care of my old car for years, and they never tried to sell me anything extra, even though they could have. I'll never take my car anywhere else as long as I live in the area.

the owner is a gentleman and a stand up guy..my parents have gone there forever and always liked him . I plan on using them because the owner runs a tight ship. I would recommend smithown auto works to anyone who has cat troubles.

I’ve lived minutes from this shop for 20 years and didn’t know they were there. Started working with Howie about a year ago and wish I had found him years ago. It’s rare to leave an auto repair shop and feel you got more than you paid for. If this shop can do the work I wouldn’t look anywhere else.
