This gym is falling apart by the day. Everywhere the machines are out of service. Unacceptable this is a billion dollar company worldwide!

Jessica is amazing she truly cares for all of her members and makes the place feel like home away from home

One of the cleanest and best run facilities in Suffolk. I’ve been to a handful in the LA Fitness Center across the island, and Smithtown is by far the best!

When something breaks it shouldn't take months to fix.

I really prefer this LA Fitness because they have a pool and swimming is my favorite sport since I was a baby or toddler! Unfortunately, I can’t come here often because it’s a little bit too far away from me since I don’t have a driver’s license.

I have seen alot in many gyms, but seeing a person on February 24 Saturday afternoon swimming with her shoes in the pool, I mean that was the worse ever. The lady that was swimming in the pool right after finished, took shower with them because I saw her walking out with the same shoes. As I complained to lady pool (lifeguard god knows what) while she was doing her homework and not paying attention at the pool whatsoever. The epic answer came out of her mind. No worries the pool has chlorine. Please guys you have very nice gym keep it clean and train your lifeguard peraonel that there mus be dresscod for the pool.

I became a member around a year ago.The gym is very clean, the staff is friendly and no one bothers you about selling you private training. That’s a plus. The biggest benefit for me though is the fact that they have a pool. I have shoulder problems so I can’t really lift and need to get my cardio in. People who use the pool are polite in sharing lanes. They always have a lifeguard as required. From the outside there’s glass where the pool is, but you can’t really see inside so there’s some privacy when you swim. There are 3 lanes which is plenty. The locker rooms are very clean and in great condition. They also have a jacuzzi and a sauna.

This is my first time joining a gym and it's been a positive experience so far. After doing a lot of my own research I met with Behtab who was very knowledgeable, informative and responsive. She patiently addressed all of my questions and concerns, without any high pressure. Her explanations of the different membership options were very transparent and easy to understand. After signing up I had two really helpful sessions with Keith who took the time to learn about my goals, medical considerations and comfort level. He gave me introductory lessons on a set of machines that he felt would be the best choice for me as I get started. With credit to Behtab and Keith, all of my initial impressions and experiences have so far been really positive.

Its a normal gym. They offer lots of classes and have amenities that are affordable. The staff at this location is rude. They all seem absolutely miserable, use foul language, and some of them make fun of members right I'm front of them!If the staff was more mature, I would have given this location 5 stars.

The Smithtown LA Fitness is the cleanest location that I attend. I go to several locations and Smithtown is setting the standard. I am very impressed with the weight machines. All the equipment is in working order. In addition, the staff are very supportive.

Horribly managed location and terribly maintained equipment. Nearly all machines are missing pins & or the cables have pull back when using. All the time they spend cleaning should be focused on making sure the equipment is actually usable. Also seems to be a hangout spot for the high school kids, who hang around in groups of 3-5. Unfortunately it does not seem like there is any initiative to fix or update the equipment. In the past it has taken up to 2+ months to address any faulty machinery
