Dr. Ley & her staff are so caring & compassionate! I brought my little boy Yoshi to them a few times. Then today I called them hysterical, they told me to come right in. The outcome wasn't what we hoped for, but knew it was best for my boy. She walked me through every step , & my family was there to say goodbye. They were so caring, & gentle with him, & made his final goodbye so peaceful for him. I can't thank them enough for taking care of Yoshi for me. I have 2 other dogs, & they will also be going to her too.

Have gone to this practice for many years now with my pets. Vet is a very compassionate person. Can't wait for its new location to open in Kings Park. Thank you for taking great care for my dogs all these years.

Took my dog here a year ago when he woke up one day, unable to walk. The doctor was very cold, didn't even recommend any testing. After a quick exam she told me he'd have to go to a specialist but did not know what was wrong with him. We ended up finding my dog dead a day later. Would never recommend this place. Please take your pet elsewhere.

Awful experience. I have a shih tzu who is very tough to groom due to prior bad experience at a petsmart. This place would provide sedation, the first time around, I have zero complaints but I just took my baby yesterday, 4/8/2022 and when picking him up, I was not mentioned that during the process, he was injured. I tipped the groomer and left and on the block of the location, noted my poor babies eye! I was livid. I contacted the place and the front desk told me that the groomer had mentioned something about redness. This is a member to my family and I spent the remainder of the day, I was panicking, I called and left a message for immediate call back. The vet calls to tell me that he “may” have been hurt while sedated and that she clearly explained to the groomer that she had to tell me, she DID NOT. I was told to continue to monitor his eye and now the worried person is me, while they enjoy their weekend! Unprofessional and no compassion at all! They will be sued for any accrued visits following this! And it’s not about the money, because I would anything and everything to have my baby healthy

I would give a 0 if I could. My 10 year old Maltese has been going to this vet for his whole life - he was under the weather and super groggy so we took him to the vet, she looked at him and said he had a stroke and that he will suffer another and advised we put him down. Without running any tests or doing blood work, they were so quick to tell us to put him down. We took him to another vet for a second opinion and they did thorough tests and found the only issue was that he had low blood sugar, we called kings park animal center to update them and they weren’t remorseful or sorry. They were quite rude when we suggested they be more careful when advising to put down pets. I will not be taking my dog back and highly suggest other pet owners steer clear of this terrible place.

Never ever EVER bring your pet here. My cat is dead because of Dr. Ley's negligence. When I called to tell her she had passed, I received no phone call back or reply to the email I sent her explaining what had happened. It's taken me over a month to write this because I am still so guilt ridden that I chose this vet for my baby, but I think it's extremely important that everyone see this. Don't make the mistake I did. Also I only chose one star because it wouldn't let me post without it.

Took my dog for her first visit after moving to the area. Dr. Ley was very thorough and explained everything going on, using displays and drawing depictions to help us better understand. She was very gentle during the examination and while administering vaccines. We were very happy with the visit and will continue to come for all our vet needs.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Ley for over 20 years now. There is no question she and her staff are caring, compassionate and professional. When my small dog would get her annual shots, Dr. Ley would prescribe pain medication for her so that she would not feel the after effects of the injection. When some of my dogs had health issues, Dr. Ley was forthright and honest about what the problems could be and what the available treatment plans were. When my mother was alive and would bring the dogs to see Dr. Ley, Kim would always bring a chair into the exam room so that she did not have to stand while the dog was being examined. Dr. Ley has always treated my pets with care, respect and kindness. I have no reservations in recommending KPAH to anyone who is seeking a vet to care for their pets.

Kings Park Animal Hospital is the best place I have ever taken my pets. Dr. Ley and her assistant Kim are wonderful to the animals and to animal parents. I have been taking various cats and dogs to this clinic for the last 40 years. I love Dr. Ley, I call her the animal whisperer. She really understands the needs, actually the unspoken needs of the animals that she tends so lovingly. I have had to put down a number of animals over the years, and she and Kim have always been so kind and sympathetic, treating our beloved sick pets with the upmost care and consideration to the very end.
