They are dedicated and have a long history of helping others out. I truly trust this auto shop which isn't always a common occurrence within this business. “I only went for NYS Vehicle Inspection, however my experience was 5 stars! They took me right away and I sat in a pleasant waiting room with free WiFi. They were extremely cordial and welcoming and the turnaround time was fast. I’m not from the area, so I first went to a Mavis and a Firestone but they couldn’t schedule me for a week! I saw Pepe’s mechanics talking with other customers while there and noticed what personal, attentive service was given.”
“Pine Island Auto is such a find for someone like me who historically has insisted that any major work be performed by Audi, where the car was purchased. My husband has an A7, and while I continued driving all the way to Audi in New Jersey, an hour away, he began about 2 yrs ago using Pine Island Auto. (A friend who owns luxury cars recommended them to my husband.) Well, back in July, I started getting an alarming message on my dashboard that my brake pads had reached their limit. I ran to Audi, and they confirmed my gently driven car (under 36,000 miles) did indeed need brake work done. My husband highly encouraged me to get a second opinion from Pine Island Auto before we spent $2,000 having Audi do it. I’m so glad I followed his suggestion, because these guys did a thorough inspection, and determined that I did NOT need this work done. Instead, they performed some other maintenance items, sprucing up the vehicle, then made arrangements to drive my car home for me (so convenient…thank you Tom!). The car has been driving like a dream ever since, and I’m completely sold as a client. What a gift that they are 5 miles away.

“We went here with plans to strictly get 2 tires on a car we had just bought 9 days prior. . Problems arose with our brake line as well as other things went wrong with the car at the same time. We had no idea so many things were wrong with it. These people were so helpful! Maria was very kind and the mechanics were amazing! They even cut their lunch short to get our car fixed and get us back on the road. With all that went wrong with this car, I guarantee any other place would have had to keep the car to do it. “So, I went to see relatives in Scranton, PA with my grandmother - we’re from northeastern Connecticut. I was driving a rental car (an Audi Q3 - I had free credits because of a previous late cancellation and I wanted to use them up, so I figured I might as well use a rental for the trip and gave my car a break. Well, it seemed like a good idea until we got a flat tire when coming home on I-84 eastbound near Port Jervis, NY. We called AAA and they put on the spare tire, which of course was really a “donut” tire - can’t go over 55 MPH and can’t drive over 70 miles, and we had over 160 miles left on our trip home. So, we had to get the spare “donut” tire replaced with a “real” tire lol. The AAA mechanic recommended Mavis Discount Tire in Middletown, NY, so that’s where we went. Unfortunately, since the Audi Q3 is an AWD vehicle, it was quite important that we replace the tire with the same exact brand/model of tire, and they did not have that specific tire in stock on that day, so we had to wait one day. We stayed at a hotel and went back to Mavis the next day, and they put the new tire on the car and we were all set to go back home! So, we made it home, but then we discovered that, although we had asked the guys at Mavis to leave the flat tire in the car so we could take photos of it to show to the rental car company, it wasn’t there, but they were very busy that day so it was completely understandable. We called them back and Leon was nice enough to check and see if they still had the flat tire there - which hopefully wasn’t too much work, searching through their pile of old tires! Sure enough, Leon found the flat tire and texted me perfect photos of it. The tires on the car were in very bad shape according to Mavis, completely unacceptable for a rental car, so we wanted to have a photo of the flat tire to use as evidence! Thanks so much, we really appreciate the help, couldn’t have done a better job!!!”
