“They have incredible stuff. Their prices are fair and the quality is excellent. The taste runs more traditional, so if you're looking for mid century this isn't the best place. If you're looking for furniture and lightning this is your place. I've bought both from him. Every time I stop by there are quite a few things I'd like to buy but have no where to put.”
“This is such a special place. I am a local resident and small town realtor in Phoenicia and am so terribly grateful to have this cozy and welcoming cafe as part of our community. The food is creative and utterly delicious. You cannot go wrong by ordering any of the weekly specials. For a quick bite I love the egg and cheese sandwich, one of the best I have ever had with a special tomato jam that gives it a little something extra. For something more sinful to be savored, the creme brûlée’d French Toast is a buttery and sinful treat, served piping hot. The pancakes are some of the best that I have ever had. For a more healthy mood, the soups and salads I’ve tried have been excellent. There is a marvelous panini too, and so much more. Everything is flavorful and well balanced. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the service very friendly. Very importantly, the coffee program, by local roaster Heavy Feather, is perfection. Sitting on the porch here staring up at the stunning mountains and watching our small town world walk by is a special experience that is not to be missed. This is equal parts destination dining and a great locals hang, a rare mix to behold.”
“I love shopping at the Blue Barn. It's like going through someone's attic, but better. I've had only good experiences with salespeople, including the owner Faye. It's always fun to go there, for the people and and stuff! Over the years I've bought, jewelry, art, furniture, clocks, Knick-knacks. What I love is, because there are multiple vendors, there is a range of styles and prices.”
