I have been a PO Box holder at this location for 4 years now and they have always been great until a recent transaction. I recently have been shipping frequently through them and I accidently and also without proper knowledge of their services used media mail on a big box. Instead of just informing me while I was there. I had to find out hours later on my own that they have opened and inspected all of my packages without my knowledge and then I had to return and pay the up charge for the service. It's just frustrating that the woman couldn't tell me on the spot, instead of wasting all of my time. I have no problem paying for the proper service but tell me! Don't waste my time for no reason and they didn't even give me a call. I will be removing my po box and taking my shipping services elsewhere.

Really great USPS location that's clean and has wonderful staff. Line usually moves fast and the postal staff are very helpful. Always assist in making sure that the cheapest shipping possible as well. Postal carriers are the best as well, appreciate them!

Everyone is really nice and helpful in this post office. It’s a nice change. Most post offices suck. There’s a younger woman who’s extremely helpful. Not sure what her name is but she’s lovely.

Usually they're pretty good send a lot of packages out. Unfortunately some of the employees don't know how to use a scale and charge for the proper weight of packages

i went to send international mail for the first time and i didn’t know the process and the worker Tracy was super sweet and helpful! Made me feel very comfortable and had a good experience!

This place is more than just another USPS. If these people HAD TO SING to get your mail delivered promptly, (or however you want it delivered) --- they'd do it.

Not understanding the East setauket post office.Received merchandise that needed to be returned.Amazon, UPS and FedEx all allow the merchandise to be returned in the same box that merchandise was originally shipped in. Not the setauket post office though! You can't use the original box, you have to buy a brand new box. What a complete waste! Not to mention, the rep behind the counter acted as if it was a federal crime.... God forbid the merchandise went back in the same box! No wonder why the post office doesn't have anything over UPS, FedEx or Amazon!

Thank you Setauket Post Office for being a staple in our community. The people at the post office could not be nicer. I have been there many times over 22 years and they are helpful, efficient and always very courteous.
