One of the worst pharmacies I've ever dealt with, and sadly, it's been this bad for years. Picking up a prescription? Good luck. Want them to talk to your doctor cause they never have any meds.

I have been going to CVS for nearly 30 years. The store and it's staff have gotten progressively worse over the last 10 years. The pharmacy is only concerned about turning over prescriptions and does not care about the patients nor care. I just was trying to answer the automated prompts and was denied the opportunity to receive free COVID tests because 'we are closing soon' (Eve though this was my 2nd trip back because my simple albuterol prescription was ready yet. If there was a way to give a .5 a star I would. RUN AWAY!!!

I don't like leaving negative reviews, I know it's compliated to run a business and probably even more complicated when you are running a location of a huge national chain business. But I am hoping maybe someone, somewhere in the chain of command at this local CVS and maybe corporate CVS reads some of these reviews and can hopefully help implement some changes. I am giving three stars soley for the pharmacy staff. They try. Because the vast majority of them are absolutely lovely, helpful, accomodating and try hard to answer your questions....particularly the pharmacists and some of the pharmacy techs. However, they are obviously grossly understaffed. Which is not only unfair to the patients/customers, it's unfair to the hardworking pharmacy staff and even the prescribers who are expecting the prescriptions they send over to be filled accurately and in a timely manner. The lack of availiable staff to answer questions, the wait time, the errors in billing the insurances, the disaster that is their phone system, and so forth...it's not their fault really. But, it really effects the patients and their customers and if I were reviewing solely on that basis, I would give zero stars. The staff in the "front" are always nice and friendly. The store is often a bit of a mess and while they are generally well stocked (see below for more), there is often "too much"...like there are too many displays and items falling off their designated spaces. I also understand that this is not the fault of the "front staff." But it makes the store feel unnecessarily crowded and cluttered. They have a wide array of everything you would expect to see in a pharmacy (OTC mediciations, cosmetics, soaps, candy) and even a small grocery area. Often their freezers and refrigerators where perishable foods are kept seem to be out of order. IE: not working AT all. Frozen meals are room temperature, yogurts in the refrigerated section are at room temperature as well. So, I no longer rely on being able to conveniently grab these items. But they are well stocked in non perishables like cereal, pretzels/chips, granola bars. The building is getting old, the carpets are honestly just nasty and stained/sticky, you aren't allowed to use their (formerly public) restroom anymore but it was deplorable, and many of their shelves are looking as though they've needed to be taped up or secured in several places from breaking. It smells. And sadly, they are consistently significantly pricier on common pharmacy items (like supplemental nutritional drinks) than the Walgreens right up the street and are almost always out of stock on these particular imporant items for members of our community. The staff here deserves better than these working conditions and having to deal with (understandably) disgruntled patients/customers. I hope that maybe this location can get a much needed makeover and some more staff to help out the pharmacy with better training on how to consistenly fill peoples' medications, and billing insurances accurately. Our community (that has many senior citizens) would be very grateful to have this CVS location return to the way it looked and operated when it was in its prime.

When waiting on line which is often down the aisle these days, take a look up over where the pharmacist is bottling your meds. You will be disgusted by the amount of filth that has accumulated on the ceiling tiles, light, and camera from the air vent. This has to be a DOH violation.

I often order photos from this store and recently I orders photos of my students for a Christmas project. I went to pick up my photos, paid for them, and they were never put onto my bag. Due to a time crunch I had to re order them and ran back to the store on my lunch break. When I got there I explained I never received the original photos and the girl was like there's nothing I can do. I had both orders online to show the manager and he insisted on going into the back to watch the camera. All this Over 10$ in pictures! Meanwhile they messed up! I explained I was on my Lunch break. He wouldn't give me the benefit of the doubt and I just paid again to get the heck outta there! Horrible customer service. Even the workers thought he was ridiculous. I will also be making a complaint to his higher up!

Another one star review for the rudest manager in East Setauket. The epic started when they completely ruined a photo order 3 days before. (someone else's pictures no disc) That manager was excellent but I don't have his name. Upon trying to redeem the $5 compensation coupon the manager Phil "managed" to escalate the entire frustrating situation. Not one sentence came out of his mouth that was conciliatory. Plenty of competitors to frequent.

Shweta the Pharmacist was the BEST I have ever dealt with in 5+ decades on this earth! The rest of the staff like Curtis, Laura, Francesca etc., were VERY keen, helpful, courteous, professional and OUTSTANDING as well. I clearly noticed this when yesterday I received a call from Curtis indicating I was next up for Covid 19 vaccine! From this point on until today and meeting these ladies I mentioned, all went perfectly smooth! They are a GREAT TEAM of employees and CVS as a whole is the best, especially for this vaccine etc.. I was hoping the reviews were not accurate, but the staff at this store is very rude. I just moved to the area and had to call in to have my prescriptions transferred and the woman who answered the phone was indeed rude! This store must have an awful manager for the staff to be so miserable, because this is not the norm at other CVS stores.

I am forced to use CVS with my insurance prescription plan, but I am not coming back to this one. I will go to Target in South Setauket, which is out of the way for me. I have had several issues with prescriptions and the store is always a mess and never stocked with what I need. I really have tried to keep coming here, but I'm done now.

WE ARE NEW TO THE AREA. This is the most unorganized and rude pharmacy that I've ever been too. Three pharmacist and the assistants are not helpful. When I asked too speak with the pharmacist regarding an over the counter medication for my 6 yr old with a NUT allergy, he was not very friendly at all, he actually came over and was annoyed that i had a question. Then they are having a problem with my inurance card and they insisted i pay full price and get reimbursed by the insurance company. Their computer keeps stating " needs pharmacy participantion". They have thier phone off the hook not answering calls. In addition NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S GOING ON. UNBELIEVABLE #! $!#&: NEVER USE THIS PLACE. RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I COME BACK IN WITH A $100 BILL AND NO ONE HAS CHANGE AND THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO OPEN THIER CHANGE SAFE
