“I had the privilege of photographing a wedding on New Years Eve at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, New York! The space was beautiful and had spots to take pictures both inside and outside. Not every venue has a designated bridal attendant and that made it so much easier as a photographer to have someone to help me with the bride's dress during the photos! Overall a good experience and such a great space to celebrate the New Year!”

“The Stockade Inn is a gem - we had a wonderful stay in a spacious, newly renovated room. The gorgeous nineteenth-century building has been maintained with care and a sense of history and beauty. Work on the hotel is ongoing, but everything on the premises looks great. The hosts were accommodating and easy to contact. I grew up in the area, and it was a delight to share both the Inn and the historic Stockade area of Schenectady (right outside the hotel) with my family. We look forward to another visit.”

“Such a nice hotel and close to the restaurants in the area (like Shaker and Vine). I stayed there for my birthday and they provided complimentary champagne and a nice card in the room for checkin. The views of our room were beautiful too! The desk clerk was very friendly and I recommend this place if you are in Schenectady, NY. We went downstairs for some live music too that night at Rivers Casino which was fun!”

“Location was perfect for me. Room was neat and clean. Desk person was very pleasant. Breakfast wasn't up to Comfort Inn standards but was adequate with toast bagels and muffins along with coffee and juice. Perfectly fine place to stay for a night or two.”

“Outside areas could use some attention, messy and beat up with poor lighting at night (I’m glad I travel with dogs), but the room was clean and everything functioned well. It was quiet at night.”

“I visit here often, I love the place. I love the management! The people that give this place one star don't realize they're not spending the money they'll spend at the Hilton. So they probably should go to the Hilton and complain about how much it cost and how little you get for your money because that's a fact and leave Howard Johnson's alone for being what they are. Not a ripoff”

“The staff were kind and helpful. They explained the rules clearly, as we were staying with dogs. The rooms are decent size and have all the amenities. Our room was mostly clean, they did miss a few wrappers under the night stand. I enjoyed the artwork.”

“As a very experienced traveller I don’t understand low reviews given here. The receptions service is better than 5 star hotel. Very quiet inside. Plenty of parking space! Great value/price.”
