A week ago I left Cooperstown at 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and a bit later the rental car's warning light told me tire pressure was low. I somewhat panicked as I needed to drive 50 miles to my motel. I saw Skip's Garage and hoped someone might be there. Skip quickly opened the door to his garage and asked about the problem. I told him this same light came on 36 hours earlier and I had it filled with air, thinking it was a slow leak. Skip listened carefully to everything that I told him and promptly drove the car into the garage. He knew it wasn't just a slow leak. He took off the tire, repaired a plug inside of the tire that clearly had been repaired before (but not done properly). I imagine Skip would have liked to be on his way home to dinner on that Friday evening and start his weekend, but he took the time to take care of my rental. It was such a positive experience -- such a kind, nice guy. I wish his shop would be in my neighborhood in Colorado. Skip certainly is a fine mechanic and a fine person.

While driving to Cooperstown on Friday something started dragging under my SUV. I pulled over to look and my gas tank straps broke and gas tank was a inch off the ground. A Older Gentleman from a garage I pulled over to took me down the road to (skips Garage) and told him what had happened to me and my vehicle. He took us both back to my vehicle on his property and skip drove my vehicle down the road to his garage and cleared his work out of the way to put my vehicle on the lift and he fixed it right then and there. Never once told me to wait until he was finished with what he was repairing already. He immediately pulled my vehicle in and started to build me a strap for my gas tank. I am very pleased with everything that he has done for me in such a short period of time. He was very Professional and Quick with the work he did. I will in the future bring my vehicle back for him to fix. Thank You so much Skip for everything you did for me that day.

I ordered tires as stated in text and he put the wrong size on. I needed 55s and he put on 65s. He didn't work with me on the mistake and as I have it in texting is trying to say I said other wise. Which the size that he took off my car were 55s. And my car came back filthy. And as i the car owner have never had snow tires for my car. Should if been more professional or rude as he was. Wouldn't a machinace double check before a job like specially as he stated to me he questioned the size. As when I told him again on the phone as I was looking right at my tires the 55.

On day one of a 5-day family road trip one of the cars would shake like crazy at 65-70mph despite our local garage in Maine checking everything over, doing alignments and telling us we were good to go. Obviously not! Skip came in on Saturday morning, while we were at the Hall of Fame, checked it out and found the tires badly out of balance. He balanced them, went back to his BBQ and told us where to find the keys. He trusted us to leave the payment! Only $60 and the car runs like buttah! Refreshing honesty. I wish he lived near us...

Skip is a life saver! We were driving with our family across country when we needed emergency help. Skip got us in and fixed everything up quickly and affordably! It is hard to find people like this in todays day and age. I wish we were close enough to use him as our regular mechanic!

We had car trouble 700 miles from home and Skip was able to fix it quickly at a reasonable price. I'd recommend calling ahead. He does great work.
