Go!!! Lisa and Edward have cultivated an amazing store in the heart of Schroon Lake!During farming months you can count on PCM to provide high quality produce, local protein, and other assorted food items through their weekly pick up service at the store.However, PCM is not just a food stop!! The store has the most gorgeous selection of furniture and Adirondack specialty items. So many beautiful things!One thing I hate sharing, Saturday and Sunday mornings if you are lucky and in line early enough, you will find some of the finest breads, and sweets freshly made to purchase. Both Lisa and Edwin have mastered the craft of helping me gain weight !I truly believe Pine Cone Mercantile is a rare gem in the Park!

Pinecone Mercantile is by far one of the best shops in the Adirondacks! Lisa and Edward, the proprietors, are so welcoming and friendly you can’t help smiling as you walk around their shop! Edward bakes the most delicious bread you have ever sunk your teeth into! My wife and I have often grabbed a loaf and eating it in the car before we could get up to our cabin! Lol Definitely make this a stop in your journey. You can’t go wrong!

This store has some of the coolest items I've seen. Couches, postcards, signs , and pillows and more! I wanted to take many of these items home but I really don't have the place for it . There are many signs that I love so I love that it constantly reminds me to still be kind (always am!) and keep going. Just some of the price tags were beyond my reach. The people who run the store are very nice and they run the bread store next door.

From the front window they have beautiful furnitures and house decors stuff . Looking all the way the back you will find north wood breads co . Wow what a hidden gem. The owner just recently start baking and boy it's smell So good in the store . Definitely one and only fresh pastry and bread in town . They're only open Friday- Sunday . We had the danish , bagels , and rosemary's lemon bread .

Gem in the heart of Schroon Lake. Beautiful, unique and well-made merchandise. Great selection of furnishings, gifts and home decor. Do not miss North Woods Bread Co. tucked next door. We were able to snag their last loaf of multigrain bread. Delish. And great selection of other locally produced products -- cheeses, meats, coffee and soups. Can't wait to go back.

We did a Sunday pick up of multigrain bread, bagels, raspberry scone and almond biscotti. All were nicely packed up and care taken for the health emergency. Given that the baker is working with one arm only from a fracture , the goodies were more than terrific. The multigrain was soft, moist and still warm and he still makes the best scones ever. When this crisis is over we will be able to enjoy their fabulous store but they have admirably adapted to this crisis.

Friendly atmosphere. Good coffee, in summer you can sit outside and drink coffee with some fresh backed goodies. Also artisan bread baked fresh daily. Rustic furniture and decoration items also.

This is quite the special store in Schroon Lake with Adirondack style furnishings and trinkets for sale, a North Woods Bread Company in the back and a side Farm Store with local cheeses and meats. Do not pass this gem while walking down the side streets. Be sure and bring your travel cooler to take home the local refrigerated treats.

Pine Cone Mercantile is a gem located in the town of Schroon Lake. The husband and wife (Edward and Lisa) team that owns and manages this store (with so much love) have impeccable taste in both home decor and food. In addition to having comfortable and beautiful furnishings that can appeal to any taste (rustic, modern, eclectic, elegant, contemporary), they offer delicious breads (baked on site), coffees and a variety of farm fresh foods brought in from NY and neighboring states. This store is a warm gathering place and haven in the heart of Schroon Lake village for both locals and those just visiting for the day. Lisa also hires out as an interior designer and has made many of my rooms into little getaway and retreat spaces (including my powder room!). My favorite thing purchased there? A match holder/striker for my bathroom! Worth hopping off 1-87 @ Exit 28 to get something wonderful for your home and belly.

I love this store, and am SO happy it still thrives and grows here in the tiny metropolis (?) of Schroon Lake. The storefront is filled with beautiful furniture and decorative items, from beds and chairs, to blankets, glassware, and books. Further in, there are soaps, candles and cards. Off to the side- new this year (2018), there is a farm store with fresh vegetables, meats, and gourmet products. The yogurt is especially good. But the best part of the store is the owners: Lisa and Edward (who runs the bakery in the back-see North Woods Bakery review) are wonderful Schroon Lakians! Warm and welcoming like freelance innkeepers, they help make this small town feel like home.

We always get the best customer service here. The products are absolutely beautiful. Everything is hand selected by the owner and she has an incredible eye for design. Each year we pop in and get a new treasure for our home. The furniture is exquisite.
